I walk to my locker and a group of girls walk by, the ones I despise the most. Noticing my rolling my eyes, one of them 'accidently' bumped into me, dropping all my books. I say 'bitch' pretty loud without looking at her and she seems to have heard me. Oh well. She turns around and walks slowly back to me, probably trying to figure out a comeback.

"Excuse me," she crosses her arms and her gang follows along.

"You heard me," I really don't feel like starting a fight with someone but she deserves every second of it.

"yeah, you wanna repeat it?" She walks closer to me, too close for comfort.

"get out of my face, Caroline." I down to pick up my books and her foot is on it. "Move your foot."

"I will, when I hear an apology, missy."

"Well then, you can tell Mr. Callahan why I don't have my textbook with me." She gasps in disgust. Her hand tries to take a shot at my face but I grab her wrist mid-air before she's even close to my face. "Don't you dare fucking touch me," I bite down so hard my teeth hurt.

"Girls! What's going on?" the principal walks by and stands in front of us. All the kids plus Caroline's army were watching us but ran to their classes as soon as she came. "I said what's going on." Of course, Caroline opens her big ass mouth.

"She just grabbed my wrist out of no where. I was trying to help her pick up her books that she dropped." Caroline put on the 'I didn't do anything wrong, mommy' face which makes me want to punch her even more. Oh, did I forget to mention, the principal is her mother.

"What's your name?" she points at me.

"Brooklyn," I respond bluntly and surprised she asked. She only talks to her daughter during school hours. She'll probably forget it in a few hours.

"Well Brooklyn, please go into my office. I'll be there soon." She doesn't even have to  Well, if I going to get detention, I might as well make it worth it.

"OW!" Caroline screamed as my fist approached her face.

"Brooklyn! Office. Now." I grab my books off the floor and proceed to the office. I could hear her mother say 'Oh my god, sweetie. Are you okay?' from all the way down the hall. I turned around and she's wiping the fake tears off of Caroline's face. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose taken a swing at her.

I enter her office and her secretary looks at me with weird eyes. I sit down on a bench. She speaks after 30 seconds of awkward silence.

"I've seen you before in the halls. You've never been in here."

"That's cause I never got in trouble."

"So why are you starting now?" She props her elbows on the table, looking to her a story. She's really that bored that she wants to hear about my life?

"I don't know. I just thought she deserved it."

"Ooh! Who deserved what?" Her eyes glowed in excitement.

"Nothing," I stop talking and pop my headphones in. After 10 minutes, I see the door open and satan walks through with her daughter from hell. Caroline looks at me like she's gonna kill me. Go ahead.

"Brooklyn, please step into my office. Car, baby, have a seat." She says staring at me like I did something terrible to her daughter. Oh yeah, I punched her. It's all still new to me. I don't usually handle things with violence. Before it was tears, but I guess my heart is exhausted from this bullshit, I wouldn't blame it.

I sit down on a much more comfortable chair in her office and she just stares at me. Am I supposed to do something?

"Are you going to say anything?" I say, sliding my back down the chair. Not trying for it to come out rudely, but too late.

"You just punched my daughter in the face. How dare you talk to me like that?" She says and bangs her fists on the desk. I turn around to see Caroline still crying. I smile a little at the fact that the secretary completely ignores the fact that she's there and crying. "Hey! I'm talking to you!" She yells and I turn back around, regretting it as soon as I see her face. Angry doesn't suit her.

I put my feet on the ground and my elbows on my knees with my hands together. I lean closer, my head down but I pick it up.
"Have you ever thought about why I punched your daughter?" I say slowly.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out."

"Well, maybe if she wasn't being a cunt, she wouldn't have that mark on her face."

"I'm done with you. I haven't met a more rude person in my life!" She screams and grabs a pen and paper. "Never been in trouble, huh? Well, that's gonna change...right..now." I assume she's trying to vent her feelings on a piece of paper because she takes way to long. She probably doesn't know any deaf people for her to talk about her problems with them. With that nasally voice, it doesn't matter if you're deaf or not, you'd wanna kill yourself.

She hands me a piece of the paper which says, After School Detention Slip: wanted for rude behavior and violence. I grab it and walk out the office and give the secretary a wave and she smiles. I look at the paper again. Bullshit. I rip it up, throw it behind me, and walk casually to my class with 5 minutes remaining of it. I didn't really like chemistry anyway.
