The infant was swaddled in several blankets with food, water, and money slipped in the covers. There was also a note that read "Winter" The baby was very come and the adventure she was about to embark on was no exception. Her mother on the other hand was very emotional.
"I'll miss you Winter." The child's mother whispered, her voice cracking as tears streamed down her face. "I can't believe you're two today! You're getting old!" The mother giggled, but only barely masking her sadness. The child gave a slight smile in response, but her mother couldn't see through her wet eyes. "I'll miss you, Winter. Just no matter what, remember I love you." The mother picked up the infant and sprinted outside. She ran as fast as she could away from the house, away from the broken memories. Why did he have to leave? The woman thought. without him none of this would've happened.
The woman ran and ran until she could run no more, and there she saw. The woman, sitting I the snow looked up into the light and saw the silhouette of a figure. It reached out its hand and grabbed the woman. The woman just nodded as if to say no and gave the silhouette her child. Take care of her, I couldn't reach the orphanage, but I hope she is safe. As the dark figure walked away the woman burst out in tears.
"Mama!" Exclaimed the baby, only causing the woman to tear up more. Her mother would miss her daughter, but she was just happy that she got to hear her last words.Authors note:
