Once while travelling through the magnificent cities of Greece
The tales of a storyteller hath made me cease,
The words he said were as such:
"And so captivated by his uncommon beauty was Narcissus,
that he spewed hatred among the gods above
And so they led him to a pond
Where by his captivating reflection Narcissus was bound
And till death did he stare at his beauty,
For it had been long since he had lost his sanity."
Such were the words that i remember from then,
And still today i see this fault in men,
But this curse ,it has taken a wilder course,
For it has managed to enthrall many a soul.
Through the ages,I have seen so more of those burdened with this 'Narcissism'
And few have i seen who rose again,
From the pond in which they have lost themselves.
So,my dear fellow forbear and beware,
For the curse is such you may not be aware,
Till Nemesis hath with her divine prowess,
Lead you away to the pond of loneliness
Leaving you adorned with the curse of Narcissus.
