The next morning, I decided to dress as a proper Warped goer. At first, Vic was wary but then Kerri pointed out that if I was too casual about this, people would suspect something.
So I was dressed in my high waist shorts with my hair tied up into a pony tail and a balck tank top. It was nothing over the top. The only over the top thing that I had was my hair.
We went to the breakfast tent and some of the bands I had become friends with yelled greetins over and I waved shyly before grabbing some food. The guys were staying on the bus because they wanted their own stuff, but I needed to get used to the mass amount of bands so I turned around to search for an empty spot and Austin waved like a crazy man, catching my attention.
Walking over, I sat down in one of the two vacant seats and smiled at the group I was sat with. Austin, Jack Fowler, Jesse Lawson, Aaron Pauley, Alex and Whakio were sat together.
"Where's Jenna?" I directed the question to Whakio.
"She's on her way. I think she's stopping by your bus to have a chat with Vic." He shrugged and I nodded my head, taking a bite out of my food.
"So I've noticed the clothing change. How come?" At this, I scratched the back of my neck just as Jenna sat down, smiling at me.
"I, ah, I'm gonna be a Warped goer today. I wanna see some of the bands." I admitted shyly and they all laughed. I felt my heart sink until Jenna piped up.
"You realise that you'll probably be the most protected person of Warped?"
"Is that why you guys are laughing?" They each in turn nodded their heads and I felt my lips turn up into a grin.
"Well, the Warped security don't know-"
"Dudette, security won't give a shit. We mean with the bands. If the guys see anyone starting on you, they will come to your rescue." Alex piped up and I felt my cheeks burn a brilliant red.
"So, how are you gonna get into the venue without people seeing that you've turned up from the busses area?"
I paused to think about this. Because I knew that if I was the first in the venue, there would be questions asked and suspicions raised.
"I'll hide behind one of the merch stalls and then sneak out about ten minutes after gates open." I shrugged and the guys nodded and then Jenna grinned.
"You can hide out with us. So who are you going to see?" I raised an eyebrow at her before shaking my head.
"Secret. But you guys have got to promise me one thing, don't make it out like you know me. I'm just another fan to you."
"But what if we see you."
"Then I'll come over and ask for a photo. I might as well. I want to add to my Warped box."
"Your Warped box?" Austin looked at me, confusion written over his features and I blushed.
"Mom went to Warped every year after I turned two. When I got older, she said it was because she was building something for me to have when I got older. Take a look." I slid the dog tags off my neck and handed them to Austin's outstretched hand.
He studied it before smiling and he motioned to pass to Alex, so I nodded.
"So you and her were close then?"
"She was my everything. I was devastated when I lost her." I muttered, scratching the back of my neck. Even after all these yers, it still made my chest ache to talk about her. Eventually, Jenna passed me back the dog tags and I put them back on.
