A battle rages inside the mind of a young man who sits in the dark,

He is about to leave reality- about to disembark-

He clutches a pistol in his clenched fist,

Believing he will not be missed.

Demons and Devils roar in his ears-

Anymore it is all he ever hears.

All night he is bombarded-

It has left him unguarded.

His sanity-

His humanity-

Long since been discarded!

It is all riddled with vanity!

He cries blood,

Thick as dark mud,

He loses his self,

His good health,

Believing it is far too late for him-

That there will be no amen.

Raising the gun to his head,

He explodes in crimson red.

Gone from me- gone from you-

Now he is free, a puddle of goo.

The sky cries out in despair-

A world he is no longer aware.

A mother mourns,

A new life is born,

His body will be rotten,

He will be forgotten...

Never again will he be so pained,

It is too late to help- his relief was gained...

At the cost of a precious life.

A woman who will never have him as a wife.

It has all ended-

He is no longer meant to be a explorer

Of his own grand dream-

His hopes are now long silenced unable to scream...
