I couldn't sleep. It was cold and dark, I wanted to close the window but I couldn't see where the light was or where the window was so I'd risk tripping over and waking up my parents. I reached for my phone that was on my bed side table, almost knocking over a glass of water left from the previous night.I turned on my phone to check the time. It read 3:42 PM. I sighed loudly, if I couldn't get any sleep before I doubt I'll be able to now.
I had a ton of notifications from my blog I run on tumblr with my best friend Jessie, I met him in eighth grade and we had been friends ever since. We both had an unhealthy obsession with Melanie Martinez so we thought why not run a fan blog about her?
I turned off my phone and put it back on my bed side table, close to knocking over the glass of water in the process, again.
I layed on my back and I stared at the ceiling, I was still cold. But I could live with it I guess. I thought about what had happened yesterday after school.
I remember a small car driving slowly not to far behind me, I remember me not paying attention because I had my headphones on, I remember being grabbed from behind and kicking for freedom, I eventually hit whoever was holding me and they dropped me onto the concrete. I picked up my stuff and ran, I ran as fast as I could. Home was only a street away so I could make it in time. I remember a tear sliding down my cheek and dropping onto my arm as I ran.Worst of all, I remember my mum asking why I had been crying. I didn't want to tell her, there was no reason as to why she couldn't know, I just didn't want to worry her.
"Bad day at school" I lied.
"Do you want to talk about it? Are yo-"
"I'm fine" I cut my mum off from talking and raced back up to my room. I played the events back over in my head still unsure of what just happened.
Eventually, my eyes starting getting tired and I thought maybe it was time to sleep.
I turned to the wall, but I turned my head back again when I heard a noise from my window. It was still dark and the only light I had was from that one street light that is always on, even in day light.
I stared long and hard until I saw something, someone.
A dark silhouette cascaded over my bed and a scream escaped my lips, causing whoever it was to cover my mouth with duct tape I tried to rip it off but they had already tied my hands up. I kicked and screamed, and it was obvious I wasn't getting out of this one.

Hi!!
as this is my first time writing this sort of genre, I was probably rubbish but that's fine as I'm hopeful I'll get better. I'd love to receive feedback, either negative or positive both is fine.
Thanks for reading and I promise I'll try and have longer chapters :)
