For Quinn's 20th month post, I thought it was time to give you "a day in the life of Quinn Davis Poe!" I hadn't done it in a while and I love documenting the everyday details...so...have fun living a regular day with us...
7:11 a.m.- "Mommy...Momma....Mommmmmaaa!!!" I hear him in the monitor! Sweet sounds even though I'm still sleepy!
7:15 a.m.- Good morning sweet love! Thank you for the big hug!!!
7:16 a.m.- Cuddling in bed with Mommy and Daddy...squirms and sings "Happy...know it...clap clap!" over and over
7:28 a.m.- Starts requesting Thomas. So, we turn it on in the bedroom...Quinn watching with his passy while Matt and I try to rest for just a few more minutes!
7:38 a.m.- Quinn taps Matt and says, "Daddy...shower!" I guess he thought we'd been lazy long enough!
7:44 a.m.- He's starting to get bored with Thomas...he grabs my hands and counts to seven..."one...two...theree...four...five...sis...seven!" He thinks he's counting my fingers...good try, little buddy!
7:45 a.m.- Mimics Sprout commercial by saying "Splout, peese!!!" (Sprout, please!)
7:50 a.m.- Quinn realizes he's hungry and requests crackers...he tries to get down by himself from the bed...it's really high!
7:51 a.m.- He helped himself to some Ritz in the pantry, but after I took them away, he had a breakfast of a "Gee-ins yogurt, VeeVa (Cinnamon Bread), Meelk (milk) AND Nonuts (donuts)!" YUM!
8:10 a.m.- Quinn entertains himself with magnet letters while I unload the dishwasher. He finds the "Q" first...then the "J" and an "H!"
8:35 a.m.- I check email while Quinn plays in his playroom...he got two emails today...one from Slickpaw and one from Santa...NO LIE...here's what it said...
"Thank you for coming to see me this year. You were a very good boy and I'm so glad that you didn't cry like last year. Since you told me you have been a very good boy, I have had my elves checking to make sure it's true. I'm sure that you'll always tell Santa the truth. I know you are wanting some Yo Gabba Gabba things, Mickey Mouse toys, Backyardagians books and maybe a few items with Thomas the Train. This sounds like a lot for a little boy, but I will try to do my best! I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas and that you don't forget that our baby Jesus was born on this day. Santa loves you. "
Merry Christmas
Santa Claus
The North Pole9:00 a.m.- Advent calendar with Daddy
9:05 a.m.- Quinn mooched some of Daddy's breakfast while laughing out loud to Shrek the Halls...so cute!
9:50 a.m.- "Bye bye Daddy! Wuv You!"
10:00 a.m.- Bathtime (we sang lots of songs...he was cracking up to "head, shoulders, knees and toes" in the tub today!) and getting ready...watched a few seconds of Yo Gabba Gabby while I put on his shoes.
11:12 a.m.- Quinn got really excited when I told him we were going to go outside to take pictures with his "Q!" He LOVES to be outside!
11:25 a.m.- Buckled up in our car seat to run Two-Five errands! Quinn was so happy in the car and was trying his very best to snap to the Christmas music.
12:45 p.m.- Picked up Daddy and Brooks at church to go to lunch at Peter Piper Pizza! Quinn was a good eater and had the play area to himself! He even got two prizes!1:50 p.m.- To the church to change a diaper and say hi to everyone in the office!
2:30 p.m.- Checked the mail and smiled at our new Christmas card from Hudson...came inside and ran around for a few minutes before it was time for a nap!
2:45 p.m.- Nap time...we rocked for about 3 minutes and he was ready to go down in his bed!
4:45 p.m.- Up & happy! Changed a yucky diaper!
5:00 p.m.- Played in playroom, turned on the Backyardagains but Q said "Off Gee-ins...Gabba!" So, we turned on Gabba for a few minutes. Tried on my boots! Then he played with a little football man and a tiny football helmet forEVER! It was hilarious! First he found the man but couldn't find the helmet and was very concerned. "Find it," he said! So we looked for it and finally found it in the diaper bag. After he got it, he talked and talked to him ... "footballPAYer ... helmet ... go .... go .... GOSH!...cool!...peek-a-boo...off, helmet! ... down...up...awesome!"
6:20 p.m.- Daddy home!
6:45 p.m.- Dinner at home...Quinn ate an extra nutritious meal of crackers, cereal bar, yogurt, mandarin oranges and milk! He put on quite the show for the video camera at the table...singing all of his songs and thinking he was super cute!
7:15 p.m.- Played with his nativity in the living room while Daddy watched football; tried to not touch and "just wook" (just look) at the Christmas tree; played in his playroom with his firetruck, his maracas, and more!
7:50 p.m.- Jammies on and ready to play some more!
8:00 p.m. - Brownies finished! Shared some with my little man while we watched The Crippled Lamb (by: Max Lucado) as a family! What a sweet Christmas story! If you don't have the book, it's my favorite!
8:45 p.m.- Movie over! He wanted to watch "Jesus geen!" (Jesus again!) He cuddled and gave us lots of "noggin!" Sweet boy! We played a little more...with trucks and cars and books!
9:25 p.m.- Night Night kisses and hugs to Daddy and Brooks! Mommy took Q to bed...rocked him...sang...prayed..."may-men!" (Amen!)
9:40 p.m.- Sweet dreams, my little man! I love you and can't wait to do it all over again tomorrow!

Letters from mommy Quinn
Short StoryThese are letters that my first grade teacher writes to her children Quinn, Nash, and Bliss. I think it's pretty cute and definitely want to do this when I have kids! I give her full credit!
