first step to being successful (life and youtube) is to be unique, be the first to do something. This can range from a product in a store to a logo.
Step 1, name: It has to be catchy, easy to say and something people can remember you by.
Step 2, profile picture: Its no use copying one if the internet, you have to put some effort in. I downloaded paint and made an individual icon that suits my channel. Depending on what your channel aims to be about, style it. Or you can pay a professional to do it for you...
Step 3, what makes your channel: Your Channel: wether it be a catchphrase, a character or a series, you should have one thing that makes your channel stand out. If its just a blank channel with lacklustre videos on it, people will find it hard to make you out from others and loose interest.
