I have inserted a picture of Sam above.

I finished cleaning off the table I was on and then brought my bucket of dishes back to the back room, where my friend Chloë was washing them.

She shook her head. "Ross LYNCH! I can't believe you, Sam! Out of all people you had to make a bet on, it was HIM!" She threw a plate down in anger and bubbles flew into her short chopy blonde hair. She rolled her Forrest green eyes and went back to scrubbing.

I scowled. "I'm sorry! I just wanted to see that smug little grin fall from Genevieve's face! Oh you should've seen her when I agreed to that dumb dare. She knew she was in trouble...."

She shook her head. "I can't believe you!"

I shrugged. "Hey, I can do it. It'll be easy."

"You're too cocky. That's what's gonna get you in trouble."

I shook my head. "I've done harder before. I know what I'm doing." The bell chimed, signaling a customer walking in. "I have to take care of that."

"I'M NOT DONE YELLING AT YOU!"

I giggled and ran out of the dish room, into the restaurant. I pulled a pen and notepad out of my pocket. "Welcome to Perkins, my name is Sam and I'll be you're-" I glanced up and the words caught in my throat.

Ross sat in the booth in front of me, his arm around her shoulders. She Had her slim body pushed up tight against his, her lanky limbs hung over his body. She grinned, blowing pink bubbles.

I cleared my throat. "Waitress this evening. Can I start you guys out with anything to drink?"

Ross glanced down to the menu, looking bored. "I'll take a Coke."

I nodded my head and scribbled that down.

The girl glanced to Ross. "Babyyyyy, aren't you going to order for me?"

"You can speak, can't you?" He glanced down to his rings, straightening them out.

She stuck out her big pink lips, going into pouting mode. "Fine. I'll have a lemon water, please."

"Coming right up." I quickly turned around and went back to the kitchen, giving my coworker the list. Chloë gave me a curious look as I walked over to her. "He's here."

Her eyes got big. "WHAT!? ROSS!?"

"Shhhh! Yes! He's right outside."

She glanced to me and then the door and made a run for it. I took off after her and tackled her. "Don't even think about it!" I hissed. She pushed me off and ran to the door, opening it. I tried to yank her back in, but she wouldn't budge .

"I just wanna look! Calm down!" She looked to the table, her face scrunching up. "Who's he with?"

I shrugged. "I don't know, I haven't seen her before."

She looked to her longingly. "She is pretty....."

"And that's about all she has going for her." I grumbled. She scowled at me and I rolled my eyes. "I'm sure she has a great personality."

Allison handed me the drinks on a servers plate. I groaned. "Can you take my table?"

She shook her head, laughing. "Good luck."

I groaned and Chloë pushed me out. I took a second to take a deep breath and began my walk over to their table. I set down their drinks and plastered a stupid smile on my face. "So have you guys decided on what you would like to order?"

Ross nodded, not looking
Me in the eye. "I'll have the BLT with a side of fries. Becca-"

"Ashleigh." She squeaked.

"Will have the salad. She wants to watch her figure."

I scowled. "Her figure is fine, and she can order whatever she would like."

"I don't recall asking
For your opinion. Now hurry up, or you're tip that you rely on to help pay for your dollar store lifestyle, will be less than impressive." He turned to Ashleigh and they began to get hot and heavy.

I was glad the bell rang to pull me away from him. I clenched my jaw and forced
Myself to walk away. I made my way to the new group of kids who had entered. There were about six of them, and I didn't recognize any besides......

Oh no.

Genevieve sat at the head of the table, watching everyone around her laugh and mess around, her eyes cold and calculating as she laughed along with a joke.

Her eyes then did a double take of Ross, a confused look passing over her face. I was just about to run back to the kitchen to beg Allison to take this table when her eyes locked onto mine. A grin slid across her face, her eyes flashing with danger.

I couldn't turn back now. I forced
Myself to walk forward. I forced a new smile
To my face.

"Sam! Darling, how are you!?" Gen said, her voice sickly sweet.

"Great, thanks. What can I start you guys out with tonight?"

"Waters, please. All of us."

I nodded my head and went back into the room. I handed Ross' order to our cook and started to pour water. Chloë appeared next to me. "Is that Gen!?"

I nodded my head, nervously glancing at her. "Yeah. And she knows Ross is here. What am I going to do!?"

"Don't let her get to you. If she knows you're upset, she'll go in for the kill."

I walked back out with all of the waters, handing them out. "So, what can u get for you guys tonight?"

They all began to list off their orders and then I walked back with the orders. I watched Gen get up and walk past Ross. He watched as she walked by, his eyes on her ass. Gen glanced to me and winked, walking into the bathroom.

I made sure our cook got the order, then I stormed after her, going into the bathroom. She was leaning against the sink, a grin on her face. "Sam! Are you following me now?"

"I know you know Ross is here. What do you want?"

She raised an eyebrow, laughing. "You didn't see him all over that girl? You don't wanna drop out of the bet now?"

I scowled. "Gen, he'll keep her for a week and she'll be gone. I know what I'm doing."

She smirked. "If you say so." She sashayed out of the bathroom.

I slid down the wall, sitting down. Maybe I did get myself in too deep.....

I need to step up my game.
