I care about young people, and I would wish for them to have perfect Christian characteristics, looking for God by studying his word and praying non-stop in order to get skilled in serving Him in the good way. I hope to see them helping each other grow more as Christians. When Jesus came, it was to teach humanity the way of salvation, and He made that way so easy, that a little kid could walk through it. He tells his followers to keep on going in the path of knowing God. Everyday, while following God's ways, we learn that his loyalty is as at all times there, like the Sun in the morning. You've seen the Sun rise, and the way the light slowly develops more and more. Little by little the morning comes. The light grows even more, constantly, stronger and clearer until the full glory of the Sun's light is visible. This is a beautiful illustration of what God wants us to do for us when perfecting our Christian growth. As we walk day by day in the light He sends us, in obedience to all He commands, our Christianity grows and widens, until we reach the full position of true men and women in Jesus Christ.
Young people need to follow more than ever the footsteps of Jesus Christ. At every step it was a trail filled with things to overcome. Christ did not come to the Earth as a powerful king to rule the nations. He came as a humble person, to be tempted, yet to overcome the temptations, to follow on (as we all should) to know the Lord. In studying Jesus' life, we learn how much God will do for His children through Jesus Christ. And we also learn that, no matter how hard it gets, they can't surpass what Christ had to go through just so we can know the way, the truth, and the life. By a way of life with submission to His example, we show appreciation to His sacrifice. The youth has been bought with an infinite price. With the blood of the Son of God.
Acknowledge the sacrifice God made in letting his only Son sacrifice His life. Acknowledge what Jesus gave up when He left the courts of Heaven and His royal throne, to give His own life away as a token to our salvation. He suffered disapproval and abuse. He had to swallow all the insults and mockery that wicked mean threw upon Him. And when His ministry to the people on Earth was accomplished, He suffered the death of the cross. Acknowledge His suffering on the cross. The nails forced into His hands and feet, the scoffing and abuse from those He came to save, the separation He had with His Father.
To be continued.
