Chapter Twelve: A more Elegant Weapon, for a more Civilized Age

Immediately after their departure from Ragoon-VI; Saar and Trinity’s B-wing sets a course for Illum. Saar and Trinity walk back into the cab to find Shain and Jess both sitting down against the wall asleep.

Trinity: Are you sure they’re ready?

Saar: Sure they’re ready. They’ve had all the training. It’s time they get their lightsabers.

Trinity: What about their cloths?

Saar: Already packed in the back.

Trinity: You planned on doing this without telling me?

Saar: This surprises you?

Trinity: ...No (She smiles and laughs a little.)

Saar: (With a big grin) I’ll go wake up the kids.

Saar sneaks back to where Shain and Jessica are and he scoops them up from the ground tickling them a little.

Shain: Stop!!!

He laughs and escapes Saar’s grasp.

Saar: Good you’re up. (He tosses two big fur coats at them)

Jessica: Wookie fur coats?...

Saar: Wookie’s need haircuts too.

Shain: Ok? But Why are we wearing wookie hair?

 Saar: To keep warm.

Saar puts on another one and Trinity walks in after landing the ship putting hers on as well. Shain and Jessica put them on anyways and open the ramp to an icey cold planet.

Shain: Where are we Hoth?

Trinity: Nope. Welcome to Ilum.

Trinity and Saar walk past them leading the way through the snow. They use the force to collapse several blocks of ice reveal a giant door.

Shain and Jessica: Wooaah...

Saar: Let’s go.

They head inside to a darkened round room filled with several ice formations including ice sculptures of hooded Jedi masters. Above them is a giant crystal at the top of the room. There are pillars coming up from the floor.

Saar: Tell me; how does a Jedi protect others?

Jessica: By... Sensing danger through the force?

Saar: That!... is a very good answer. But not the one I’m looking for.

Shain: With a lightsaber!!!

Saar: Correct!

Trinity: It is our job as Jedi to protect and serve all living beings, and to do so, a lightsaber is needed.

Saar: What is a lightsaber?

Shain: A weapon!!!

Jessica: It’s a tool... Use for protecting ourselves and protecting others.

 Saar: Correct Jessica. A lightsaber should never be used in offence of for our own selfish gain.

Jessica looks at Shain and sticks her tongue out and Shain returns the look by rolling his eyes.

Shain: I gotta question.

Trinity: What’s that?

Shain: If you’re Jedi exiles...Why do you still teach the Jedi ways?

Trinity looks at Saar to answer which he does.

Saar: The Jedi have many believes in which we don’t agree with.
