(Fate pov)

"Come on, just get out there. I'm sure every girls dieing to dance with fate."

"Don't listen to him, if you don't feel up to dancing today, it's okay."

"Thanks guys but it's my duty to get people to fall in love I have to at least dance once, but thanks for your kindness anyway."

"It's totally unfair that your job is to literally flirt."

"Well I am Fate."

My name... is Fate. I've never really liked the idea of leading women on and then just dropping them at some man's feet that they think they love.

It's been about ten years since the last person that I made fall in love and he ended up being an abusive drunk, but just because she said he was cute... I had to do my job and have them fall in love.

In order for me to do my job I have to dance with women that need my help. But it's not just women it's men too, but I don't dance with them, we just talk at the bar or over a drink.

I never age, and have been 25 for about two hundred years now, I stopped counting after one hundred. I don't have a hair colour or eye colour because it changes depending on the people I'm with.

"Come on, at least do two." Johnny, my very annoying but lovable friends, tried to convince me.

"Relax Johnny, it's Fates decision." said my very helpful and good looking friend Marco said defensively, shocking Johnny half to his senses.

"Fine I'll go dance." I said giving in.

That's when I saw her. Standing on the other side of the dance floor by table 18, closest to the stage.

I felt as if I was hit by a Model T Ford, and someone took my brain from me. Who is she? Maybe she's just another girl looking for love from 'Fate'.

That's when turned to face her friends with her golden blonde hair and pacific red lips. Her hair done up in a one sided diamond headband.

Her dress impressed me the most, unlike all the other girls wearing tight cloths to try catch my attention, her dress flowed and hugged her beautifully taking my breath away.

"Go ask her." Johnny said, noticing my staring.

"Uh, um, uh, s-sure."

(Coincidence pov)

I was at a party with my girl friends who were looking for a man. Ag, this is such a waist of time, I just hate how 'Fate' is so special. Because of him my friends have been battered, beaten and bruised because they thought they were right for eachother.

"Hey Coincidence, come dance. Get your mind off of William and relax." Claire said, she has been my best friend for ten years, even though I am hundreds of years old, she still loves me.

"No, no, she might just pop a hip in her old age," exclaimed Terisa, she loves to make fun of my age, I don't mind because I am getting so sick of my job.

I have to make sure that all the girls stay clear of that male friend that she just keeps bumping into at random places. To make sure she doesn't fall for the wrong man.

"Oh really, you think I can't dance? Well watch this!" I decided to show them what thousands of years of dancing can teach you.

As I was dancing, my friends mouths hanging open, I was in the middle of a swing when I bumped into a tall man with dark black hair that had dark navy blue highlights (have to look close to notice), he wore a black tuxedo with a navy blue undercoat and a black bow tie.

He looked down at me and gave me a gentle smile showing his white, perfect teeth.

I nodded at him as an apology for bumping into him but he just put his hand out as if he was waiting for something.
I look at his hand confused, when he finally talks.

"Dance with me," he had a rugged yet gentle voice.

"I can't dance"

"Yes you can, I just saw you"

"Oh that, well I just got out of this really bad relationship and..." I trialed off.

"Okay, fine, is an apology dance then, for bumping into me"

I look him in the eyes to see what he meant and get lost in his diamond blue eyes that coated with a ring of navy blue making it stand out more.

"So is that a yes?" He snaps me back to life.

"Ah...um...uh... sure"

He took my hand and pulled my body in close, I could feel his warmth and smell his slight, yet just enough calon.

We waltzed for hours not realising time passing.

I heard my name being called and looked for my friends. There. I find them by the door, ready to leave, which means I had to leave.

I look up at the man I was waltzing with and say my pardon.

I walked out the door and said goodbye. Expecting to never see him ever again.
