Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's*********************
(Coincidence pov ☆)
It is 2016 now and it has been 96 years since I danced with that mysterious man from the party. For some or other reason I can't get him out of my mind.
I was sitting on a park bench reading 'The Fault in Our Stars' and eating an apple. It was a perfect day to relax and enjoy nature.
I was at complete ease when I noticed a man walking towards me and sitting down next to me on the bench.
I brushed it off as it is a normal thing to do. When all of a sudden I hear a very familiar male voice talk to me, "18."
I turn my head slightly to acknowledge that I heard him, "I'm sorry, but what do you mean?"
"Table 18, you sat at table 18, closest to the stage."
"I still don't understand." When I turn to see if maybe he thinks I'm someone else. But no, no one can forget facial features like his.
1920 party!
"B-b-but how!?"
"I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself," he held out his hand to take mine, he kissed my hand gently then continuing, "my name... is Fate."
Oh no! I DANCED WITH FATE!?
"What!?"
"Yes Fate, and by your age, I'd guess your Coincidence. I'd thought you'd look uglier." He said while looking me up and down.
"I'm sorry WHAT!? ARE YOU SOME KIND OF IDIOT? YOU DON'T TELL A WOMEN THAT!" I bursed.
"Wow! Calm down"
"NO! ALL YOU EVER DO IS HURT PEOPLE... AND I DANCED WITH AN ANIMAL LIKE.... LIKE... YOU!"
I stood up and started walking away when Fate grabbed my arm forcing me to stay.
(Fate pov♡)
I found myself walking through the park thinking things over as I hand just heard the news of how my very close friend, Richard, had passed away the night before. It was a very 'gentle' death, or so I hear.
We had met at a bar 4 years ago in 2012 and had hit it off instantly. I had been told of his passing by his wife, Lue, she was sad that he had left her at the young age of 26 but she content with how he had slipped away in his sleep. She was happy that his final moments was with her in his arms. This had got me thinking...
Having someone you can spend your last moments with...
It had a certain ring to it. That made me wonder if I, an immortal man, can ever fall in love.
Impossible
That's when I remember her hair that shone when the moonlight hit it making my heart pound, her nonchalant way of making my heart throb at her smile as she danced without a care in the world.
Her lips that made me wish red was the colour of the sky. Yes I know I'm embarrassing myself.
I catch myself blushing at my thoughts and of how much of a hopeless romantic I really am, well I mean... I am Fate. When I turn my head to try and shake of the feeling of utter hopeless embarrassment when I see her... 18.
18
My 18!?
But but how that's impossible... unless
.
.
.
Coincidence!I had then just found out that my love and one and only was like me, but there was one problem... she hated me.
I decided then that I would go and talk to her because there's no time like the present.
I walk up to the bench that she had been sitting at reading a book. I tried to see what she was reading but couldn't make out the name. I sat down and she moves as if to ignore my presence.
"18," I say coming a bit closer.
Turning her head slightly she questioned, "I'm sorry, but what do you mean?"
"Table 18, you sat at table 18, closest to the stage."
"I still don't understand." When she finally turns her head completely to face me.
When I see her eyes widen in shock as she realises who I am,"B-b-but how!?""I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself," I took her hand in mine and kissed the top of her hand gently and then continued, "my name... is Fate."
Her eyes widened even more, if that was even possible, making me feel a little happy at her angry and shocked face that I found too cute,"What!?"
"Yes Fate, and by your age, I'd guess your Coincidence. I'd thought you'd look uglier." I said trying to get another reaction out of her.
"I'm sorry WHAT!? ARE YOU SOME KIND OF IDIOT? YOU DON'T TELL A WOMEN THAT!"
"Wow! Calm down"
"NO! ALL YOU EVER DO IS HURT PEOPLE... AND I DANCED WITH AN ANIMAL LIKE.... LIKE... YOU!"
She stood up and started walking away when I grabbed her arm forcing her to stay.
She turned and looked at me with a bit of fear in her eyes which made made my heart ache at the fact that I made her scared. I let go and apologised.
She quikly scanned me up and down then simply stated,"If I EVER see you again you will wish on your pretty little head that you did not even walk this earth." before turning on her heels and walking away, leaving me to wonder if our meeting really was fate... or coincidence.
I had finally made my decision when I told myself that if I see her again... it must be fate. With that I had a smile grow on my face hoping that I will see her.
