Dean hadn't called or replied to Jordan in any way. Another week flew by and he was still missing. Brody found out about his truck and -undoubtedly- blamed Jordan but Levi ruled it out by providing an alibi. Dean still didn't reply. Jordan and Levi became good friends along with Heather and Carter while Dean still didn't call. Carter had a date with the chess Geek but Dean still didn't call. Levi was developing a small crush on Jordan and Dean still wasn't calling as it had become public knowledge.

Yes, Levi realized he was screwed but it was only a small crush. She was just so damn adorable all the time, beautiful when she laughed and fierce when she wanted to be that Levi couldn't help it. He loved spending time with her and even more so when he evoked a reaction from her. He wasn't the type of guy to pussy foot around his feelings but he had gotten to know Jordan and that had changed. If this was two years ago, Levi would have bagged her in no time but he was not the same as he was two years ago. He respected and cared for Jordan even if he had known her for a month.

Levi knew he had promised not to meddle in her relationship anymore, but it was really hard for him not to. He saw how Jordan would type in a message and then check her phone at times to be disappointed and zone out. That asshole didn't know what he was missing.

Heather and Carter phrased his concerns, though. They told him how they had tried talking her out of it but she wouldn't listen. He understood why she wouldn't listen because she had told him that night at the cafe, but that didn't mean he didn't want to prove her wrong.

However, that would come later.

He glided up to Jordan stuffing books in her locker and tapped on her shoulder. When she turned, he caught a glimpse of her neck which was almost bare but still bore dwindling scratches right before she adjusted her scarf. Times like these Levi felt like hurting Adam Brody more than just by punishing his truck.

"What's up?" Jordan asked, closing her locker and swinging her bag over her shoulder.

"You free tonight?" he asked.

"Huh?"

"Are you free tonight? Is your night occupied? Are you going anywhere this evening?" he asked with a smile.

"Ah, no, no and no,"she answered with a puzzled smile.

"Great, see you at seven."

"Wait, what?" He could see him grinning but still didn't understand why. Was he asking her out? She had boyfriend - or whatever he was at the moment.

"I need help with something tonight. Just be ready by seven."

"Wait," she laughed, "be ready how? And help with what?"

"Has anyone ever told you that you ask too many questions? And that, too, the wrong ones?" Jordan felt like thumping his forehead. She narrowed her glare at him but another matter struck her immediately. "Not that I'm agreeing to it but," she said, "I'll swing by your place at seven."

"What's wrong with your place?"

"My parents might be entertain some people today," she lied, tugging her sleeves low, "so I'll swing by your place." With dryness, she added, "What's your address?"

Levi's answering grin was breathtaking and boyish. "Don't be coy, Withers, it really doesn't suit you. See you at seven."

With that, he headed off to football practice. Jordan had never seen him play but wanted to as much as she wanted to watch Carter play. She still felt guilty over missing half of his game last Friday but he had shrugged it off with suggestive smirks when she told him what actually happened. Heather was damn proud of her. Vaguely, Jordan wondered what Dean's reaction would have been.
