The Wolves

Chapter 1

When I wake I do not remember anything at all. I start looking around and then it feels like a giant forepaw hit me, I am not  with my mother I am with my father's pack, Firepack. I get up and look around then I see my father, Firetail, so I head toward him, "Firetail  why did you bring me here?" I asked him. In reply he said, "Because Leafpetal wanted you to live with me." I hope he didn't see my confused expression, so I changed the subject,  "So what is it like here in this Pack?" Firetail looked at me fondly and replied, "Well how was it in IcePack? It's pretty much the same but we have a few different strategies." I glanced around and he was right, it was pretty much the same. "Wow! Is there still Warriors and Apprentices? I am almost six moons old just three to go!" I barked excitedly.  "Wow,Icepup, you have gotten so big and strong!" He barked.
A large and strong howl interrupted us, I looked around and saw what made this strong, ferocious howl. "That is the pack alpha, Silentfoot." Firetail barked. I looked at his muscular body. Whoa!  I think to myself. "There has been a breach in Waterpack. We don't know what did this, but there have been three deaths. Three! Oh no! Well at least it wasn't our pack. Wow that was selfish of me. While he is talking, I look toward the entrance to our hollow. I hear a crack. I look at Firetail, then turn toward the entrance and sneakily make my way out of the hollow. Phew. That was easy and scary at the same time.
"Okay, Icepup, don't be afraid just get to the Water Pack borders and investigate the scene." I mumble to myself for a confidence boost. I'm walking through the forest, hopping fallen logs, running through the grass like no other. I definitely have my father's agility and strength.
