I pulled up in front of the large building, my 1968 mustang purred as I turned into the parking garage this is it the interview of my dreams I felt like I was going to be sick. What if I don't get it I thought to myself I mean this is the BAU maybe I should just go home eat some pizza and watch silence of the lambs. NO! you can do this Emilia! I scolded myself "this is ridiculous I'm arguing with myself!" I said in disgust as I climbed out of the car hoping I looked professional enough in my navy blue knee length dress, black high heeled boots, and black blazer that I was feeling confident about this morning but now I'm unsure.
I walked through the large glass doors and past the security station. I stopped at the reception desk where a young blond woman was typing at her computer,
"Excuse me," I said meekly she turned to me and smiled brightly.
"Hello, how can I help you?" she asked sweetly.
"Um, I'm Emilia Ramsay and I'm here for an interview with Matthew Stumph." I said looking down at the receptionist.
"Okay I'll inform him you're here, hold on." she said dialing the phone,
"Hello, sir an Emilia Ramsay is here to see you, okay I'll send her up then." she said hanging up the phone. She stood up from her desk and pointed to a group of elevators to the right of her desk,
"Okay, it's the third floor and the elevators are right there." she smiled
"Thank you." I said as I walked to the elevators. When I reached the elevator I froze. Don't screw this up Emilia I told myself as I pushed the button, When the doors opened an attractive young man with blond pompadour styled hair and black rimmed glasses stood there, he was almost a foot taller than me, wearing a white t-shirt and old faded jeans, he was leaning against the wall of the elevator but as soon as he saw me standing there he stood up straight and extended a hand
"Hi, I'm Josh Truman I am supposed to escort you to your interview." he smiled as I took his hand.
"I'm E-Emilia," I stuttered,
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you E-Emilia." he laughed making me blush."Sorry, I'm a little nervous." I said as the elevator doors closed. He reached over and pressed the button with the three printed on it.
"It's okay I was just as bad at my interview, in fact I was so nervous I totally forgot my resume, I had to go home and get it and I was already late so it was a great start." He said making me laugh.
"Really? and you still got the job," I looked at him puzzled.
"Matt said I had heart and that he needed some fresh eyes, so don't sweat it I'm sure you'll do fine...You're definitely a profiler," he said laughing musically,
"What do you mean?" I asked my brow furrowed.
"You have that newbie profiler look about you, not to mention you've been analyzing me since I opened my mouth. Its okay though I have been doing the same thing." He flashed a white smile at me.
"Well if you've been profiling me this whole time whats the result?" I asked childishly, he smiled even bigger.
"Well you're obviously shy but cheeky a bit of an introvert you have two no three dogs you're twenty five, you are single and have experienced some trauma somewhere in your childhood, You're favorite movie is... let me guess 'silence of the lambs' did I miss anything?" He winked at me deviously.
"Yeah you forgot extremely insecure," I smirked, he smiled back but there was a flash of seriousness behind his striking blue eyes.
"What about me?" he asked half somberly.
"Well you sir, are about twenty seven arrogant on occasion, but care deeply about those around you, you have no problem speaking you're mind, you love helping others it gives you a rush, you have a dog and a cat, you're favorite movie is 'The Princess Bride' and last but not least you are sometimes uncomfortable in social situations and you try to mask that with humor." I said triumphantly.
