2004, age 8
I was sitting at the lunch table with my friends, Lo (Angelo), Meech (Demetrius), Yaya (Iyana), Lucas, Kay (Deon'kay), Dario, Mariyah, the twins Jai and Jade, Denasia, Amaya and Jazmyne.
"Haley, can I have some chips?" Meechy asked. I nodded and handed him the bag. I looked at Lo, he looked jealous.
"Lo, you want some?" I looked at him.
He looked back at me and shook his head, "No thank you."
Later at recess I was playing with everyone, Angelo was sitting by himself so I went to talk to him.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing." He mumbled.
"Why won't you play with us?"
"Because you always with Meech."
"You can be with all of us though."
He shook my head.
I smirked, "Are you jealous?"
He blushed and scoffed, "No."
I stood up.

I was sitting by myself on a bench and Suhaley came over. She is the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my life. She sat down beside me.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
I like you and I don't like it when you hang around Meech so much., I thought.
"Nothing." I mumbled.
"Why don't you play with us?"
"Because you're always with Meech."
"You can be with all of us though."
But I want to just be with you. , I thought.
I shook my head.
She look at me and smirked, "Are you jealous?"
I blushed and scoffed, "No."
She stood up ... "Well if you want to, you can come over." Then she leaned over and kissed my cheek. I blushed and felt everyone look at us.
