Fae’s P.O.V:

*lunch period*

I sat alone in the outside area, just watching the students walk past. Currently I was sitting under a big tree, under the grass with my headphones in. It was peaceful and calm. I needed the silence after the occurrence that morning. I embarrassed myself in front of Liam, Harry and Payton. This wasn’t a good start for my new school. “Mad World” by Gary Jules, started playing at its slow pace, easing me a bit more. I closed my eyes and listened to the song carefully.

“The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had

I find it hard to tell you

I find it hard to take

When people run in circles it’s a very very

mad world”

Out of nowhere the warmth of the sun wasn’t glowing onto me, being blocked by something. I opened my eyes slowly to two boys standing over me, Liam and Harry.

“Hi…” I said awkwardly sitting up a little. They both gave me a warm smile and sat down in front of me.

“You looked lonely, so we came to sit with you,” Harry said cheekily placing his lunch tray on his lap.

“Usually there would be five of us, but Louis is with his girlfriend, Eleanor,” My eyes followed the direction Harry pointed in. There I saw a boy in stripes, Louis I’m guessing, with a gorgeous girl sitting next to him that I’m assuming is Eleanor. Two more people came up and sat in front of me. One had tan skin and dark hair while the other was blonde and rosy cheeked.

“Hi I’m Niall,” The blonde haired one and held a hand out to me, smiling. His attitude made my day a little better. It was like his smile was contagious. Deep blue eyes squinting a little as he smiled at me. I reached my hand out to shake his.

“Oh yeah, sorry. We have you in our drama class so I guess I forgot to introduce myself,” Harry said smiling a bit, his chocolate colored curls fluttering a bit in the wind.

“I’m Harry Edward Styles, but you can call me Harry,” He said happily, leaning back, taking a sip out of his water bottle.

“Zayn Malik,” The dark haired boy said, half smiling at me. I smiled back and nodded a little. Then it was him, Liam. I’ve never actually heard him talk before, considering I’ve only been here for two days.

“Liam Payne,” He said coolly, taking a bite out of his apple. “You can call me Li or whatever you want,” He smiled warmly, chewing the food in his mouth. I studied them all and tried my best to keep up with the names.

“Fae Henderson,” I said, taking the earphones out of my ears and stuffing them in my bag. Liam reached his hand out to shake my hand. I took it and carefully shook his hand, remembering the feel of his hands. They were soft and warm, strong but also gentle. I took my hand away as the heat rose to my cheeks.

“Why aren’t you eating love?” Niall asked, his eyes raking up and down my body. I hugged myself and shook my head a little.

“Not hungry,” I lied half smiling. He only nodded and kept staring at me. I cowered down from his gaze, kind of just wanting to be left alone.

“So there’s a house party this weekend and we all wanted to invite you… would you like to come?” Harry asked, crossing his legs and smiling down on me.

“I don’t really go out much… I’m more of a ‘stay inside and eat ice cream’ kind of girl,” I admitted. Oh God did I just say that out loud? Now they’re going to think I’m some sort of fat chick with 70 cats. I mentally face palmed myself, thinking of my stupid comment.
