As the room quieted down and the headmaster started to welcome the newcomers, Alfred looked over at the Slytherin table looking at Arthur and smirking. He quickly used grabbed a napkin writing a note on it and using his wand to make it appear next to him. Arthur quirked an eyebrow as the napkin appeared next to him, he easily figured who it was from and shot a glance at Alfred, opening the note in curiosity and reading whatever he had scribbled inside of it.
He smiled when he opened it and winked at him before going back to listening to the headmaster as he called the first years up to the sorting hat. He shook his head lightly, reading the note before deciding to respond, quickly scribbling something of his own on the free space before folding it neatly and sending it back with his own wand before turning to focus on the first years getting sorted into each respective house.
He smiled as they got a new member, and looking down at the note. He smiled and looked up at him making a heart with his hands and mouthing 'I love you' to him. Arthur smiled barely upon seeing this and chuckled slightly, clapping upon receiving a new member in his own house. He sighed before mouthing 'love you too.' right back to him, watching the number of first years dwindle.
He smiles as he saw this looking around to make sure nobody saw, considering that the whole school thought they hated each other. As the room started to empty he made his way over to Arthur.He chuckled slightly and stood up from his table as he watched the other students flood from the great hall.
