Chapter 6 - Trapped In The Moment

          Hours passed as Paige let her mind wander of the horrible things she could do to Tony. She wasn't about to let him win the arguments, and she definitely was about to prove him wrong. She wasn't a little girl and she was tired of him looking down upon her. Paige, suddenly stop midway in her project, as she gave a smile of the best idea she had. She quickly grabbed her carving tool and pencil, quietly leaving her room.

           She peeked through the kitchen searching for Tony but he wasn't there. She then checked the living room, and noticed him slowly walking around Harry as he shook in his chair. Tony had a grave smile and was about to start his lesson.

          Paige took notice of this and watched for a couple of seconds until she felt something push her into the room. She quickly glanced back at Shrignold smiling at her as he shut the door and locked it.

          "Shrignold!" She yelled as she tried opening the door. She then felt someone behind her, holding what it seem to be a thin broken sword up to her neck.

         "Why hello there, Paige."
She instantly knew that voice as she held her carving tool and turned around to stab Tony but she was too late. He grabbed her weapon and threw it on the ground.

          "You missed." He said as he gave a smile. Worried, she looked at him.

          "T-Tony...I-I wasn't going to."

          "You weren't going to stab me just now? Hm I find that hard to believe..." Tony says with a smirk and he presses his sword into her neck with the smallest bit of force.

          "Tony stop!" Paige pushes him away, shivering and blushing at the thought of how close he was to her. She loved how devious he was.

         "Oh Paige...I was only playing a game...isn't that what little girls like to do?"

          She realized every time he said that her heart strings were pulled. It hurt for him to think of her as merely a child, but at the same time the teasing way he said it made her heart stop for moments. Out of confusion she trembled and started tearing up.

          She could barely speak, "I-I'm not a little..."

          She felt like giving up but she couldn't barge out of the room because Shringold locked her in "that pesky bee!" She thought in her mind.

          Tony, surprised, didn't know what to do with this sudden change of personality Paige was taking. She was so persistent. She always argued...but for some reason she seemed to have given up. Tony, in some strange way, felt guilt. He liked to hurt people but it was different with Paige...seeing her in a state of such turmoil had him speechless. 

          Tony stood there for a couple of seconds as the whole room was filled with silence. The puppets sat in their chairs taken back by what they just saw. They haven't seen Paige act so differently. They didn't dare to say anything though in fear of going through another unbearable torture.

          As for Tony he tried to ignore the feeling. It was very strange to him, as for the whole situation.

          "Oh my Paige, I've never seen you in such a vulnerable state." He said trying to hide his sympathy. Paige wiped her tears.

          "You are such an idiot." She said.

          "I'm the idiot? I don't think I'm the one crying for no reason here." He said sarcastically. 

          "Shut up!" She couldn't hold back and out of her own shock she slapped him! The room was quiet and Shringold was listening to the whole thing from the other side of the door.

          "My Oh My they never learn." Shringold said smiling.

          Tony, set back by another one of her sudden outbursts realized his teasing had finally went to far.

          "I guess I crossed the line" he said solemnly.

          "You gue-" Paige was cut off by Tony stopping and giving her a hug. "T-Tony..." The blood rushed to her cheeks and she felt like she was going to die in his arms.

          "Gosh, it's hard to take care of you, little girl" This time she wasn't upset, his embrace made the tease more tolerable.

        "You shut up time freak! I know I've got issues, but your pretty messed up too..."

         "I can't argue with you in that one now can I."

          Shringold smiled and started chuckling through the door.

          They suddenly remembered their situation and smiled at eachother. They stopped hugging and started banging on the door.

          "Shringold you better come out here! I'll find a creative way to make your "love" turn into hatred!" Tony yelled almost laughing.

          "Haha trust me! When you open this door we'll make sure you run out of time!" Paige said, blushing
