As my eyes peeled open I was blinded by bright lights and my head was pounding.Where am I?
As I opened my eyes further I looked down and noticed I was in a bed. As I slowly looked over I noted the twins sitting in two chairs, sleeping.
I was in a hospital. I hated hospitals.
I slowly sat up and noticed a glass of water on a stand next to me. As I started to drink, Vladimir came in.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"What the hell happened, and why does my head feel like someone shot me with a pistol?"
Vladimir stared at me and a flash of panic crossed his eyes for a small second before he resumed composure.
"You fainted". I stared at him and before I could answer,
"Well look who's finally awake," Kronos said.
"We've been waiting for only you know," he glanced at his watch, "two days."
"I've been in this hospital bed for two days?!" I asked.
"Yeah one minute you were fine, next you were on the floor screaming and bleeding, it was weird." Krios replied
I mentally groaned. Last time I was in a hospital was when my father was sick. As I sat back I examined everybody. The twins looked a little tired. But Vlad looked like he was hiding something.
"What's wrong with you?" I asked him
"Nothing. Why?" He asked back.
I stared at him longer, I knew he had a secret but I wasn't going to buy him about it.
"So how was school?" I asked the twins
"Well you know," Kronus started
"Just your everyday average piece of,"
"Watch you language." Vlad interrupted.
I chuckled.
The doctor walked him. He was nice looking, easy on the eyes.
"Hello I'm Doctor Reese, it's good to see your finally awake, how are you feeling?"
"Great aside from the headache." I responded
"So Isis unfortunately I have not been able to find the source of your problem at all. I did every test I could and I'm very confused. Have you had any problems recently with anything?"
I thought about everything that's happened this past few weeks.
"Well I've had various headaches but nothing this bad. Plus I've always had headaches so I never think much of it. I haven't been getting much sleep lately either."
"Why is that?" The doctor asked looking up from writing his notes.
"I've been having really vivid dreams lately. They seem so realistic sometimes they scare me so I don't sleep. Sometimes during the day if I start to daydream they come back so I don't go to sleep."
"Hmm...interesting." He says as he takes more notes.
"How long have you had these dreams?" Vladimir asked
"About two weeks, why?"
He grabbed his phone and walked out of the room. I looked at the twins in confusion and they just shrugged. They got up and followed their father.
"Isis I'm going to give you a little something to help you sleep. Hopefully no dreams but all I can tell you right now is to try and get some sleep."
"Thanks Doc."
For telling me something I already knew.4 hours later...
After forcefully pushing Vladimir and the twins out the room to go home, I was finally able to lay back in bed. I turned the TV off, because nothing interesting was on and leveled the bed out so I could be more comfortable. Whatever the doctor gave me was finally taking its toll. I drifted into darkness.
"Babydoll." A deep, husky voice said
I turned around and saw a figure. He was blurry, but I could make a pretty good outline of him. He was tall, maybe 6'4 and shirtless. Muscles rippled down his body as he walked towards me. As my eyes made their way up to his face I couldn't make a single outline.
"Your so beautiful." The voice said again.
"Thank You?" Whoever this person was, he made me nervous and I hate feeling this way.
"Who are you?" I asked, my voice slightly trembling.
He brought his blurry face down to my neck. The closer he got the more my body felt....alive. He licked me on my neck, dragging it ever so slowly. He got very close to my ear.
"Your mate."
I screamed as I woke up.
Somewhere on a plane...
I smiled.
I'm getting so close.
