Girl--Aiko

Guy--Cameron

"Ah, shit," Aiko murmured as she felt the first drops of rain dot her nose. She stubbed her cigarette on a wall, dropping it on the ground. The rain would wreck her plan.

She stared at the bank across the street, leaning against the wall. Her plan to rob it would be put on hold. She saw a person--she judged the figure was a male by the shape. He had his hands in his pockets, his head down with a dark blue hood concealing his face.

A few strands of fiery red were blowing in the wind. He brushed them away in annoyance. As he did, Aiko saw the telltale glint of a blade in his sweatshirt pocket. She almost slipped as she jogged to meet up with him.

She had been in the shadows before to conceal it, but now she wasn't worried as she lifted her gun up. "Let's do this," she said, smirking at his surprised expression.

"Wait, wha--"

"I'm Aiko. Your name is...?"

"Cameron... What do you mean?"

The street was busy with people talking on their phone or otherwise being concerned with something else, so miraculously no one had noticed her pistol. "I see your knife. You're walking towards the bank. Do you think I'm an idiot?" Her pale blue hair shimmered as she whipped around.

She had heard sirens. "Fuck..." she growled. She grabbed his wrist and dragged him towards the alley she had previously been in.

"Hey, you!" A cop. "Put that gun down!"

Cameron broke into a sprint, twisting his arm out of Aiko's grasp. He ended up at the end of the alley. "Shit!" He grasped the fence. There wasn't a way he could get over it; the wire on top was barbed.

A spray of bullets hit the wall as the police shot at Aiko. "Get over it, you dumbass!" she yelled. Chunks of brick peppered her, tearing holes in her thigh-highs and making superficial cuts. One of the bullets ricocheted and grazed her thigh, opening a deeper cut.

"Dammit!" Aiko and Cameron stood back-to-back as the police charged down the alley.

"Too bad we're in this together. I'd like to use you as a shield," Cameron said, pulling out his knife. A gust of wind blew his hood away, revealing a full head of flames.

"In this together? We're just gonna die at the same time. It probably happens all the time," Aiko replied, crouching and getting a better hold on her pistol.
