Undertale X Reader - Hiatus

Shyren X Reader

You walk through Waterfall to track down where this beautiful tune, you've heard it a few times as you've passed through over the months but it's never been so close before. You being the curious little human you are, you decide to finally find out where it's coming from. As you turn a corner a small patch of blue grabs your eye, it seems to be where the tune is coming from. 

"Uh... hello?"

The tune stops as the monster turns and begins shaking at the sight of you. They seem to be a lot like a mermaid or siren. Probably a siren.

"U-Uh... um..."

They begin to try and get around you but your blocking most of the path, they visibly begin to freak out at the situation.

"Hey! Hey... calm down. I'm not gonna hurt you, i'm (y/n). You have a lovely voice."

The monster calms a little at your name and compliment, they seem to be incredibly nervous and shy.

"Hello (y/n). I-I'm Shyren."

Shyren. Suiting name. You smile and sit cross legged, you give her a happy smile.

"I've heard you singing a few times now and I've sorta... added lyrics to it."

"Huh? Y-You have?"

"Yeah! It's so pretty... I just had to!"

She smiles and brushes some hair out of her face, she's a very pretty monster. If mermaids were real you wish that they look like Shyren.

"Can I... sing to your voice Shyren?"

"H-Huh!?! Really?"

"Yeah! I bet it'll sound good. Even if it doesn't, it'll be fun!"

You see her face turn a little skeptical but also a bit of happiness, she really wants to say yes. You smile at her again and see her nod slowly, making you gasp and clap in delight.

"Alright Shyren! You start and i'll come in when i'm ready!"

"Okay then (y/n)."

You listen to her tune for a few seconds, finding a good place to add your lyrics into the melody. You sway back and forth as you move to the music.

"You fascinated me

Cloaked in shadows and secrecy.

The beauty of a broken angel."

"I ventured carefully,

Afraid of what you thought I'd be.

But pretty soon I was entangled."

"You take me by the hand.

I question who I am."

"Teach me how to fight,

I'll show you how to win.
