Emma

Right now we were saying goodbye to our parents. They're flight leaves at twelve but the airport is about thirty minutes away. Plus if there is traffic, and a long line. So they decided to leave at nine-thirty.

"Now remember no staying up really late. Also, no running, jumping, etc." My mom says.

But I know she's saying it to Jake.

"Honey, they cab is waiting." My dad reminds her.

"Right. I love you both. Have fun with your grandma." She tells us.

Both my dad and mom give us hugs and kisses before getting in the cab. Jake and I stand there until the car makes a turn blocking it from our gaze. A few seconds later Jake speaks up.

"I'm going to eat cookies from the cookie box," he says.

"Jake, you know you can't." I remind him.

"Please, Emma. I promise I'll clean my room and behave when gran comes." He pleads.

He gives me the puppy eyes and I can't resist.

"Fine-

I can't finish my sentence when he's already freaking out.

"Let me finish. You can only get two." I finish.

He sighs but nods.

We walk into the kitchen where I give him his two cookies and put the jar back where it goes. Afterwards I think he went upstairs to play video games because all I heard was die you zombie. Die.

I look around the house and see some stuff out of place. I begin to clean since I know how gran gets if the house is messy. She starts yelling and wanting to clean everything. Even if the flower vase is crooked.

After two hours the house is spotless. But right when I sit down the doorbell rings. I walk towards the door and when I open it in greeted by my gran.

"Look my granddaughter is all grown up and beautiful!" She says making me blush.

"Look at you gran! You look like you haven't aged a bit." I compliment her.

Which was true she still had to glow in her eyes. She had a few wrinkles here and there but overall she looked beautiful.

"Oh hush," she says, "know you know where your mother and you got your looks from. But, where is that other grandchild of mine."

I yell jakes name not short after I hear footsteps coming down the stairs. Jake yells grands name and runs towards her giving her a huge bear hug.

"I haven't seen you in forever!" Jake said.

Gran laughs, "tell your parent that you should visit me. I can't drive all the way here every two weeks. It's a two and a half hour drive and I get tired fast."
