"No," I say to the vegetable that stands before me.
"Why not," he asks.
"Hmm, how about your mere existence, that I'm forced to tolerate, which should be against the law," I ask sarcastically.
"Irriiss," he whines.
"I'm not doing it," I say.
"Iris," Kitty says,"Be nice to Keeg for once", she says defending her brother.
"Katherine Lucille Jones, as my bestfriend, you should always defend me, and have my best interest at heart," I say.
"Now, Kellogg," I say, "I will not be your fake girlfriend, because you want to make Mia jealous, plus you will never meet a girl that's dumb enough to date you," I say.
"Don't worry Keegan, you'll find your girl with poor judgment someday," Katherine says.
"Thanks sis," Kellog says too dumb to realize that his sister insulted him.
"Listen, Iris if you agree, i'll buy you butterfingers everyday for a week," Keegan bribes.
I scoff. "A year," I say.
"A month," he says.
"Agreed," I reply.
"But on one condition, they have to be share size," I say.
He shakes his head,"Fun sized,"he says.
Dammit! I huff. "Regular sized," I say.
"Agreed," he replies.
"Wow," says Kitty. "Did I just see that go down," she asks no one in paticular.
"So, wanna go out for lunch babe," asks Keegan wiggling his eyebrows, and completely ignoring his sister.
"No Kellogg," I say, slighyly annoyed.
"It's Keegan," he says stating the obvious.
I stand up and leave Kitty's bedroom where we were hanging out.
I walk down the steps, and leave her house, beginning the journey to the candy shop. It's my favorite place in the whole wide world.
I approach the building the size of a house and take a deep breath and enter heaven.
"Welcome to Carl's Candy shop," a voice calls. "Oh it's just you," the Korean cashier says once I come into view.
He apparently hates my guts ,but I know he's just putting up a front. "Hi Kyung," I chirp happily.
"What do you want," he asks rudely.
"You should really own up to your name, because Kyung means respect, yet you don't respect me," I reply rudely like the good person I am.
"But to answer your question, two butterfingers please," I say.
He hands them to me and I give him my last dollar.
I am offically broke.
I sigh before leaving to walk home.
I walk into the door, and I heard my dad call, "Karen Iristan Loomington," in an angry voice.

To clear a few things up:
1. Katherine is Iris's best friend, her nickname
is 'Kitty'
2. 'Karen Iristan Loomington' is Iris's full name, 'Iris' comes from her middle name 'Iristan'.
3. Keegan is 'Kellogg' and 'vegetable', beacuse Iris just can't make up her mind, he is also Kitty's big brother by only a year.
