Keegan POV
"Just keep the fighting down to a minimum 'kay? Do it for Kitty if not for me," I said to Iris. She nodded at me and smiled. She was so beautiful. "I'll do it for you Keegan," she said softly, making me smile at the use of my real name. I grabbed her hand and we walked back into the cafeteria to finish lunch.

Iris POV
Since Kitty wasn't at school today I was in the clear as long as I stayed low. We only had 2 classes left so it wasn't going to be hard. The bell rang and Keegan and I began walk to class together. I grabbed his hand , threading my fingers through his, and walked into American Lit. , sitting next to Keegan. We flirted a little but,of course, didn't notice.
"Keegan, Mia isn't paying us any attention. Maybe we should just call it quits," I said as we walked to our last class. "Oh please, it's definitely working. Otherwise I definitely wouldn't be acting this way towards you," he said rudely.
I wiped all emotion from my face trying to hide the hurt that stung my heart and let go of his hand. "Whatever Kellogg," I mumbled and walked ahead of him to class. I sat down next to Nick a cute guy who had a crush on me and ignored Keegan's attempts to get my attention. Once class ended I smiled at Nick, said goodbye, and left the class , practically running.
Kellogg caught up to me and grabbed my wrist, turning me around to face me. "If it isn't about my butterfinger I don't wanna hear it Kellogg," I said coldly. He pulled one from his backpack and handed it to me while his other hand still had my wrist in its iron grip.
"What's wrong, do I need to hurt that Nick guy," he asked, with confusion written all over his face. "Nothing," I said quietly. "C'mon 'Ris I can tell something's wrong. And Kitty would never forgive me if I didn't fix it," he said genuinely concerned. "Just leave me alone ,"I said as I snatched my wrist out of his hand and left.
