there was once two teams in the national football league, (NFL). there's the dallas cowboys, and the new england patriots. these two teams are great teams. in dallas, football's huge. in new england, it's more popular in present-day and recently. in the national football league, there are 17 weeks in the regular season. after the regular season, there are 4 weeks of the playoffs plus the pro bowl. teams only play 16 games in the season but, everyone plays in the first game of the year. each teams has a bye week. a bye week is when a team doesn't play a game that week. the first bye week starts in week 4, and they end in week 11. everyone from week 12 until the end of the season. everyone plays in the first 3 weeks of the season, and the last 6 weeks of the season. in national football league, there's a total of 32 teams. there's 16 teams in each conference. there's a total of 8 divisions in the league. there's 4 divisions in each conference. there's a total of 2 conferences. the names of the conferences. the national football conference (NFC), and the american football conference (AFC). there's two cities with two teams in the national football league. those cities are in east rutherford, new jersey, san francisco, california, and oakland, california. the teams in east rutherford, new jersey are the new york giants, and jets. they're called new york but, they play in new jersey. the san francisco, and oakland teams are kind of like metropolitan teams. they're in two different cities but, they're across the bay from each other. every team has a big rival in their division, and big city rivals. no matter what conference they're in and close to each other, they can be rivals. every team has a huge rival. the divisions in each conference are both the same but, they have different names in front of the location. there's AFC east, west, north, and south. it's the same with the NFC but different name. all of these divisions are competitive to make the playoffs. if you win the division, you're automatically in the playoffs.
