it was week 16 in the regular season, and it was getting closer to the end of the regular season. soon, the non division leaders would start clinching the playoffs. MOST division leaders have clinched the playoffs representing their division. there is normally 1 or 2 teams that make the playoffs in the divisions but, there's only 6 teams in a conference that make the playoffs. it was week 16, and the games were getting tougher and tougher each week. in the AFC, if the jets beat the colts, and the chiefs lose to the titans, the jets could clinch during their week 17 game. if the jaguars lose, their eliminated from their shot at the playoffs. this week, the jaguars play the new york giants this week. the giants are 4-9 this season, but they don't have a chance to make the playoffs. the giants are in 3rd place in their division. the indianapolis colts won the AFC south division but, the jacksonville jaguars are in 2nd place. the colts are 12-2 this season. the kansas city chiefs are 10-4, second in the AFC west division. the tennessee titans are 4-10 this season, 3rd in the AFC south. the jets are 8-6, 2nd in the AFC east division. the jets are 6-0 in their last 6 games. the jets have been on a winning streak since that huge loss to the new england patriots in week 9. since then, they've been practicing really hard, and they started winning after week 10 against the green bay packers. over in the NFC, the st.louis rams play against the san diego chargers in san diego, california. the detroit lions play the new orleans saints at the mercedes-benz superdome in new orleans, louisiana. the tampa bay buccaneers play at the seattle seahawks in seattle, washington. the st.louis rams are 11-3, 2nd in the NFC west division. the team in first place in the NFC west division is the arizona cardinals who are 13-1 this season. the seattle seahawks are 8-6, and then the san francisco 49ers who are 6-8, are in last place in their division. the san diego chargers are 7-8, 4th in the AFC west division. the oakland raiders have won the division, and the denver broncos and the kansas city chiefs still have shots at the playoffs. the raiders are in 2nd place in the AFC. the patriots are the best team in the AFC. it was the start of week 16, and it was one of the most important weeks for the teams who each have a shot at the playoffs. the game of the week was the oakland raiders at the new england patriots. the raiders are looking to leave new england with the win. but it's going to be tough for the oakland raiders to beat the patriots. the jets are playing the colts. the jaguars are at the giants. the chiefs are at the pittsburgh steelers. if the steelers win, they clinch. if the jets and chiefs both win, the chiefs clinch the first wildcard spot. if the jaguars win and the jets lose, the jaguars will pass the jets. if the steelers jets and jaguars win, the jets and steelers will be no.5 and 6 numbers while the jaguars and chiefs will be in the hunt. in the NFC, if the rams beat the chargers and the lions lose to the saints, the rams clinch the first wildcard spot. if lions, and rams win but, the buccaneers lose, the lions and rams are in. if all three win, it will come down to week 17. it's also the same if all three teams lose. the buccaneers play the seahawks in seattle. the raiders lost to the patriots. the jaguars defeated the giants. the jets beat the colts in overtime. the lions lost to the saints. the chiefs beat the steelers. the rams beat the chargers. the buccaneers lost to the seahawks. the new england patriots remain undefeated at 15-0. the cowboys are now 12-3, the 2nd best team in the NFL. the jaguars and jets are numbers 5 and 6 in the playoff rankings. the chiefs are in the hunt. the steelers are now eliminated because, the steelers are now 7-8. they're not playoff eligible. in the NFC, lions are eliminated because, their 8-7 and the buccaneers are now 8-7 even though they lost to seattle in week 16. in week 17, it was the final week of the regular football season. if the cowboys win, they clinch the NFC'S best record. the rams are in the first wildcard spot in the NFC. in the AFC, the jaguars and jets can clinch today with both of them winning their games, and chiefs loss at the denver broncos. the broncos are not going to see the playoffs this season with an 8-7 record. it was the start of week 17 and for most teams, it's their last game of the season. for other teams, it's one of their most important games of the season. cowboys host the giants in dallas for their final game of the season. meanwhile, the patriots are down in Miami Florida to play the Miami dolphins. the jets play at the Buffalo bills, and the jaguars play at the tennessee titans in nashville, Tennessee. the steelers host the Baltimore ravens in pittsburgh, PA. in the NFC, the rams play at the seahawks in seattle, washington. the lions host the chicago bears in detroit, michigan. today. the results of the noon games aren't good. the chiefs and jets won their games. the jaguars and steelers are now out of playoff content for the season. meanwhile over in the NFL, the buccaneers just lost to the panthers in overtime. the final score was 27-21. so that means, if the lions defeated the bears tonight in detroit, the lions are in, and the buccaneers are out. if the lions lose or tie, the buccaneers are in. the patriots just finished a perfect 16-0 season, the 2nd time in franchise history. the cowboys are 13-3, they're the best team in the NFC. the lions beat the bears so,
