Chapter 5

1 week later
It was a quarter to eight and I went outside. I walked through the alley and into the garage. I grabbed my motorcycle and drove out of the alley. I got to the store and walked in.
"Hey Roxy."
"Hi Pip."
I responded to the short girl. She smiled sweetly at me. My dad was pretty proud when I told him I got a job and was being nice. Mindy left and I took off my sweater revealing my Greens grocery store shirt. With my name tag. It was pretty busy all night. Then finally it was 12.
"Pip wanna help me clean up?"
I asked.
"Yeah sure."
She began to restock items with me and I washed the floor. I was at the back when the alarm went off and I heard Pip scream.
"Pip!"
I yelled dropping the mop. I began running towards the front where she was originally wiping down everything. I quickly hid when I heard male voices.
"Aren't you a little to young to be working?"
"I-I'm 16."
I heard Pip squeak. I looked around the corner. The purple dragons.
"Too bad your alarm doesn't alert the police just you."
He pulled out a knife and I knew I had to save pit. I came out from my hiding place and stood in front of Pip.
"I knew she wasn't alone."
The gimpy one said. I glared at all of them. I then looked back at Pip.
"Run."
I whispered and we both began to run down the aisle towards the back exit.
"Get them!"
We kept running when all of a sudden we tripped on the wet floor.
"Shit. Shit."
I said and helped her up. We almost made it to the door when Pip was grabbed by the waist.
"Pip!"
She screamed and the dragon idiot smirked at me.
"You better put her the fuck down right now!"
I screamed at him.
"Or what?"
Another asked grasping my arm from the back and putting a blade to my neck. Pip kept hitting the guy but he was too big and she was too small. I then saw four shadows come into the store.
"Turtles!"
One of the dragons yelled and they dropped us and began running. I grabbed Pip and we ran out the back door. I looked in at what was going on.
"Pip call the police."
She nodded and fumbled with her phone and finally reached the police. I kept looking when I saw it. It was a giant fucking turtle with a red mask and salad tongs? He looked over at me and I ducked. I crawled away from the door and grabbed Pip. I put stuff by the door so it couldn't get us then we climbed to the back and got outside. We then saw the police come when the back door burst open. Pip was about to scream but I covered her mouth and brought us further into the shadows. Four figures ran out of the store and jumped onto the building and disappeared. I pulled my hand back and Pip let out a tiny scream. Thats when one of the shadows came back.
"Oh shit Pip."
I said and grabbed her wrist and began running with her to the front. The police questioned us and we told them what happened but I left out the turtle part. But added that there was the vigilantes there. He nodded then allowed us to leave.
"Pip you want me to give you a ride home?"
I asked and she nodded. She got on my motorcycle and I gave her my helmet. I drove her home then went back to my apartment. What a fucking crazy night. I put my motorcycle away then went inside.
