Hi guys! First of all, thanks for coming here to read this in the first place, it means a lot! I really hope you enjoy this fanfic because I'm trying to make it different to all the usual ones where they fall in love and live happily ever after etc etc. I mean, there is a love story in this but the main plot of the story isn't to do with love;) I hope each chapter leaves you wanting to know what happens next! I'm hoping to finish or almost finish this over summer cause I pretty much have nothing to do so this is like my little project! Anyway, hope you like this first chapter. Please give feedback and share on Twitter and stuff. Thanks, @TomDaleyFans_GB / emilyykate_  xxx

“Eliza wake up!”

‘Great’ I thought. It’s the summer holidays and I’m being woken up at god knows what time, admittedly we are 3 weeks in, but still!

“Wake up Eliza, we have something to tell you!” My mum said this time, a hint of excitement evident in her voice. I groaned and turned my head to where I thought the voice was coming from and opened one eye to see my mum standing there looking as though she was ready to burst. “What?” I managed to mumble out, I was not best pleased at being woken up at this time, there better be a good explanation. “We’re going to see the diving at the Olympics today! We didn’t want to tell you because we wanted it to be a surprise” Brilliant. Absolutely fantastic. I’m going to see a load of people jumping off boards into water. I couldn’t be more excited. Not. “Really? But I don’t want to go. Uuughhh.” I groaned. “For goodness sake Eliza. We thought you’d be pleased and excited!? Well, there’s no choice in the matter, you’re going and that’s final. It’s the mens 3 metre springboard preliminaries and they start at 12 o’clock so you better get up and get ready.” With that, she left the room and left me in bed wanting to sleep for the rest of the day.

After lying in bed for 15 more minutes, I decided it would be best to get up and start getting ready. It’s only 9am but it takes me forever to get sorted. I drearily got out of bed and took off my pyjamas, grabbing some clean underwear and a towel before dashing into the shower.

I turned the shower on and let the warm water cover my body, drenching my hair in the process. I grabbed my shampoo and lathered my hair with it, the scent of coconut filling my senses as I did so. I rinsed the shampoo out of my long brown hair and quickly washed the rest of my body. When I had finished I stepped out of the warmth and onto the cold floor which sent a shiver down my spine. I got dried and slipped on my clean underwear before rushing back into my bedroom.

I wrapped my hair into a turban on the top of my head to help it dry a little and went to my wardrobe to choose an outfit for this absolutely thrilling day…

I chose some high waist denim shorts and a cartoon Mickey Mouse t-shirt to go with them. I quickly slipped them both on and tucked the top into my shorts before taking the towel off my head and letting my hair fall over my shoulders. I grabbed my hair dryer and plugged it in before blasting it all over my hair to get rid of the dampness it still held. I decided to leave it naturally wavy rather than spend my time straightening it. There was no point in making much effort. I was going to see the diving at the Olympics, hardly anything special. I felt the same about applying make-up, it was too much effort for something that isn’t special.

I grabbed a shoulder bag to match my outfit and a small cardigan to cover up if it gets a bit cold later on and started to make my way downstairs. My feet plod down each stair but half way down, I hear my parents speaking in a hushed tone, as if they don’t want me to hear what they’re saying.

“We can’t just tell her now, she’ll freak out. She needs to see him first before we say anything.”

“But she deserves to know why she’s going to see this competition. She needs to know she’s going to see him rather than see him and be told afterwards!” I hear my mum shout back but still in a hushed tone.

“It’s too late to tell her now! She’ll freak out. Just let her see him without knowing. We’ll tell her afterwards or tomorrow” And with that I carried on down the rest of the stairs and into the kitchen where the conversation was going on. “Tell me what?” I asked feeling inquisitive and now wanting to know what they so desperately need to tell me that they were almost arguing over. And who was this male they were talking about that I need to see?

“Oh umm… nothing sweetie. Don’t worry about it, it’s..umm… nothing important” My mum managed to stutter out. I decided to just nod and grab a seat at the breakfast bar rather than press the matter.

I grabbed my iPad and clicked onto the Twitter app. I scrolled through my timeline, there was nothing exciting, just everyone talking about the Olympics- yet again! I clicked the ‘new tweet’ button and began typing. ‘Been woken up at god knows what time this morning to go see the mens 3m diving. How wonderful. I cant’t wait. NOT!’ I clicked the send button and carried on refreshing my timeline and grabbed a piece of toast my dad had placed in front of me. Within minutes I had loads of mentions so I checked who they were from and what they were.

@ilovegbdivers: ‘@imjustelizaa ohmygod. I’m so jealous. How can you not be excited to see all those sexy guys in speedos! OMFG SAY HI TO JACK AND CHRIS FOR MEEE!” Who on earth are Jack and Chris?

@ilyjacklaugher: @imjustelizaa Bitch! As if you’re not excited to see THE Jack Laugher. I could be there instead of you. Uuugghhh.” Well someone’s a bit moody. It wasn’t my choice to go.

There were a few more mentions that I scrolled through but I didn’t reply to any. “Right, come on Eliza. We’re going. We need to get there early to see them all come out at the beginning!” my dad exclaimed. ‘Woohoo’ I thought. Time to go have fun at the diving! With that I stuffed my phone and purse into my bag as well as my earphones because no doubt I’d be needing those when I got bored, which was 99% likely.

We go into the car and set off for the aquatics centre. The whole way there, I couldn’t help but think what my parents needed to tell me and who this boy was that I need to know about? I guess only time will tell…

Sooooo, I hope you enjoyed the first chapter:D Oooh, oooh, oooh xxx
