A/N this takes place outside of the story line. This is for everyone who doesn't have a significant other for Valentine's Day. I'm with you till the end!
Byern and Sherry walked through the trees in the park. It was Trisha's idea that they take a walk. She said they obviously had some things to talk about. It was getting cold out. They had been out for hours but still hadn't figured out what Trisha was talking about.
"I'm getting cold. Maybe we should go back to the cafe?" Sherry asked.
"Nope. Mum wouldn't let is back until we've talked about what she wants us to talk about." Byern sighed. "But here, have my jacket."
It was a large, leather jacket. The inside was lined with faux fur. Sherry felt quite warm in it. She huddled up inside. The fur was soft. But then she looked at Byern. He only had a flannel and a t-shirt. "Are you warm enough?"
"Yeah. I'm a guy! We're natural heaters, you know." He laughed. "Actually, I'm a little cold. But I'm betting you're colder."
Sherry looked down at the jacket. Them she looked at Byern. His hands were up behind his head in a relaxed state. His flannel was thin. It didn't offer much warmth. His breath was already coming out in visible puffs. She looked down at the jacket again.
"Here, we can share the jacket."
Sherry opened the jacket and squished into one side. Byern smiled and squished in. It was very stuffy with the two of them in the jacket. But neither of them was cold.
"Hey," Byern joked. "Want to have a three legged race to that telephone pole?"
Sherry laughed and nodded. They ran, and fell down several times. When they reached the pole they collapsed in a heap.
"I'm so tired!" Sherry laughed.
"Well, we can't go back yet!" Byern laughed back.
They wiggled around and tried to get out of the jacket. They were stuck. But their wriggling caused a problem. They were on a hill, and they had moved enough to start rolling down. Sherry squealed as they rolled down. Byern yelled in whoops of laughter. When they finally reached the bottom Sherry was stuck on the bottom. Byern was giggling uncontrollably.
"Byern!" Sherry cried, "I can't breath!"
"You're my captive!" He giggled. Sherry's nose hit his forehead.
"Ow..." Sherry tried to look at her nose. She couldn't see anything and her hands were trapped. "Byern, is my nose bleeding?"
"Hmm..." Byern furrowed his brows. All at once he leaned down and kissed her nose. "All better!" He laughed.Sherry blushed. Byern wiggled off her and they sat up. Sherry put her hands to her nose in amazement. He kissed my nose!
Byern turned to her and smiled his goofy smile. "Hey, wanna try something?"
He didn't wait for her answer. He swooped in a kissed her full on the lips. Sherry closed her eyes in glee. Byern was a good kisser. His lips weren't soft, but they weren't rough either. Byern pulled away. Sherry marveled at his taste on her lips.
"I've never kissed a girl before. Just wanted to try it." He stood up and brushed his pants off.
Sherry stared at him in disbelief. Just wanted to try it!? She saw red. Standing up in the dirt she pulled her arm back. She slapped him right across the face. She saw him through tears.
"Hey! What was that for?" Byern whined.
"Don't 'hey' me! Girl's feelings aren't toys! No wonder your boyfriend broke up with you!" Sherry screamed. She ran, leaving Byern in the park. She ran all the way back to the cafe. When she got there Trisha was standing at the door. Sherry ran into her arms and bawled. Trisha helped Sherry into the cafe and sat her down with a warm drink. When Byern came back Trisha stared daggers at him.
"What did I do?" He cried.
"Room. Now." Trisha ordered.
Byern woefully went up the stairs. Trisha turned back to Sherry.
"Don't blame him. He doesn't see girls a lot." Trisha cooed."He works at a care center!" Sherry bawled.
Trisha rubbed her back. "Yes, but that's a little different than one on one. Give him a chance. You'll see."
Sherry sniffed. She'd have to forgive him sooner or later. After all, they shared a room.
"Alright." Sherry whined. She picked herself up to make the necessary amends.
