"No, stop. Get for filthy hands off me," I demanded as I tried to wriggle out of his reach.

"No need to squirm sweetie, it's okay," he whispered, tightening his grip around me.

"Stop. Let go of me you perverted sicko. And I'm not your sweetie," I yelled, my voice echoing throughout the big empty bedroom. our  big empty bedroom.

"How dare you speak to me like that! My suggestion to you is to keep your mouth shut," He scolded as he slapped me.

I woke up to sound of rain hitting my window, it was really annoying but I can't complain the rain is basically our only water supply.  We aren't rich like the 2's or 3's or even the 4's, we were a 5, we barely have any food, education, water we are the writers and dancers the entertainers.  My passion is writing and I've made quite a bit of money from published books  and I'm recognized and friends with the 3's and 4's who aren't total snobs like the 2's and for once I'm not a nobody.  When I got out of bed I went into the kitchen to greet my mom, dad, twin brother Dalton, younger brother Cameron and my younger sisters Meredith and Harper.   Harper was by far my favourite, she was the youngest she was 7 and a dancer she was just so bubbly and happy all the time and somehow she just got me.  I on the other hand was the oldest, 16, my twin Dalton, was born 23 minutes after me and I can't help but rub it in his face every chance I got.

"Hey little brother!" I teased reaching up to give Dalton a nougie,  like usual, he  just rolled his eyes.

"Hi sweetie, how was your sleep?" my parents asked in unison and chuckled at the fact

"Good how was yours?" I replied pulling Harper into a hug

"It was good, are you writing any new books?" My dads gruff voice filled the room

"No, not yet.  Sorry dad, I'm kind of at a writers block right now. I'm sorry," I sighed

"Amidala Clarke, you need to stop stressing. You are a 16 year old girl and you deserve your childhood. you can't be cooped up in your office all day and all night writing a book.  You have provided more than enough for this family.  And you, John you need to stop encouraging her, she's done enough." My mom snapped

"Kate, calm down I was just asking, I wasn't implying anything so just hush please dear," He calmly asked.

I looked out our dusty cracked window to see the clock tower to see if it was time for school.  "It's time for school bye mom," I grabbed my bag and started to walk to school with my siblings.

That's when I heard them.  The high pitched war sirens to alert us about the war.
