Masquerade Ball: Part 1

The Collège Françoise Dupontwas having a school dance in a week. All the 10th graders were invited to attend the masquerade themed ball. The dance was taken place at the court at their school at 6 in the afternoon. Marinette and Alya went inside their classroom feeling so excited and waiting for the class to start.

Alya: So, did somebody asked you to the prom yet? Did Adrien asked you yet?

Marinette: He still haven't. I don't think that he will.

Alya: I mean what are you still waiting for? You could always ask him.

Marinette: It's not that easy... what if he said no? What if he's already going with someone else?

Alya: You'll never know once you ask him.

Marinette was looking at him outside, just about to enter the room.Thinking about it, she seemed a bit hopeless that he might said no. Alya put her hand to Marinette's shoulder, trying to support her.

Marinette: Ugh.. you think I should do it?

Alya: Go for it!

Adrien and Nino sat on their seats in front of Marinette and Alya. Marinette waited until the class was over to ask Adrien to go to the prom with her. Before she could do that, Chloe pushed Marinette against the lockers. Marinette was pissed at Chloe.

Marinette: HEY!

Chloe went to Adrien's locker to talk to him. Marinette knew that if she went there to Adrien's locker while Chloe was there too and she started asking him about the prom, she knew it would not go well, so she just stayed beside the lockers and waited for Chloe to leave Adrien alone.

Chloe: So, Adrien. You. Me. The dance?

Adrien: Actualy...

Chloe: So that's a yes then? Ok, pick me up at -

Adrien: -NO! I -I can't go to the dance with you.

Chloe: WHAT?!

Marinette: YES! But wait, why he can't go?

Chloe: What do you mean you can't go?! But it's prom, Adrien!

Adrien: I'm sorry Chloe, but I have to go. I'm late for my photoshoot.

Marinette eavesdropped a little to their conversation and she was really happy that he's not going with Chloe but also sad and curious that Adrien wasn't coming to the prom. The day after that, the two best friends talked about what Marinette heard between Adrien and Chloe's conversation.

-TWO DAYS BEFORE THE DANCE-

Alya: So what happens then?

Marinette: I don't know. After that, I don't know if I could go to the dance anymore.

Alya: WHAT?! You have to go to the prom! It's every girls dream to spend one night looking and feeling like a princess! Don't you want that?

Marinette: How am I suppose to go to the dance without a date?Without Adrien there, I don't feel like I'm gonna enjoy the night.

Alya: Marinette, you will. You've got me remember? Who needs a date when we can always go together?
