I am uncertain. That is the most simplistic term I can come up with to describe how my mind races at every word I say, wondering if they will hurt another or make a situation even more awkward. The best term to describe how everything someone says is a game to be played. Do they mean it? Do I mean it? Are they telling the truth? Am I? This is the thing that I am most certain about. Being uncertain.
Life is full of uncertainties and so are people. We make choices that we may later regret. We say things that hurt others. Others say things that hurt us. Sometimes I don't know why I even open my mouth. I have nothing to say and even if I did, would I be taken seriously?
Everyday we look at ourselves and everyday we see something new. It could be the new look. It could be the shine in your eyes. It could be the extra dimple in your smile. You'd think we would know ourselves and in many ways we do but, just like life, we are uncertain.
