I looked at the watch and packed my towel into my bag. My phone made a sound which meant that I got  a text. ''Meet me in the gym x'' It was my friend. We always go to the gym together. I grabbed my bag and my phone and got out of my flat. I got into the car and put Justin Timberlake's CD to get me into the gym mood. When I got to the sports centre I parked my car and took the bag from the back seat. I gave my membership card to the lady that works in the reception. When I finally got into the gym, the smell was horrible like always. Nothing new.

''Hey!'' Charlie shouted and kissed my left cheek. ''Are you ready for the treadmill?'' she asked. She was all hyped up, I still didn't know why but hopefully I was going to find out soon. We got onto the treadmill and set our time and everything else. ''So, why are you so hyped up?'' I asked and the belt started to move. ''He proposed!'' She nearly screamed, making some people look at us. She smiled and looked at me. ''Congratulations!'' I said and smiled at her. In my opinion getting engaged at the age of 17 was a bit weird but whatever floats her boat, I guess.

We walked on the treadmill for another 20 minutes. Charlie kept going on about Dan and how cute he is when he gets angry. She liked to rub it in my face that I don't have a boyfriend and I never got into a proper relationship.

''So how are things going for you?'' She asked. Finally, after talking about Dan which seemed like forever. ''Fine.'' I said. Soon, this attractive guy came into the room. He was perfect. Beautiful brown eyes and blonde hair. His muscles were beautiful, also. ''Wow, someone's a little bit hot and he's looking at you.'' Charlie said and poked me in the arm. It hurt loads. ''Ouch.'' I said in pain. I looked at the guy again and he smiled at me, I smiled back. ''Let's go and do some weights.'' Charlie said and winked at me. The treadmill stopped and both of us got off of it. The weights were right by the room he was in. I was counting how many Charlie did but I just couldn't stop looking at that guy.

He came out of his room and came up to us. ''Hello ladies!'' he said and my heart started beating like crazy. His voice was the most perfect thing ever and his face and everything.''Hello stranger.'' I said and smiled at him. ''I'm Alex. Nice to meet you...?'' he was obviously curious about our names. ''I'm Ariana and this is Charlie.'' I pointed at Charlie that was doing some weights and she obviously wasn't insterested in Alex.

''I was wandering if you guys are interested in some personal training, all for free. Fifteen appointments.'' he asked and I raised my eyebrow while looking at Charlie. ''I'm not  doing that because I hate when people watch me work out.'' She said. ''You don't mind working out with Dan'' I winked at her and she elbowed me in the ribs, which hurt. ''I'm up for it!'' I said to Alex. ''Great, if you want we can do the first one now?'' he said and I nodded. ''Okay, so let's start with the treadmill.'' he said and we both got onto it. ''So what do you do?'' he asked me straight away. ''I'm in college. Still doing my A-levels in Business, Maths, Chemistry and Art.'' I replied and he raised his eyebrow. ''Wow, you're smart!'' he said and I thanked him.

Few minutes later

As we got more into the conversation we started to talk about love for some reason. ''I believe in love at first sight. It sucks when the other person doesn't feel the same but love at first sight is something we have done or will do in our lives.'' I said and Alex was silent for a bit. ''So why am i the chosen one?'' I said and laughed at him, knowing that it wasn't true and I was there in the right place at a good time. ''I don't actually know. You seemed like a nice person'' he said and I laughed. ''That's cute.'' I said to him and he smiled. It was awkward for a bit, not for long though. Charlie was on the phone to Dan and I've heard some things that I didn't really want to.

I told Alex about Charlie being engaged. ''Do you think they will last?'' he asked and I whispered ''No.'' He agreed with me and went on about how people should think about engagement and that 17 is too young. ''How old are you?'' I asked ''19'' he answered my question and we kept walking on the treadmill but didn't feel tired and it just felt so comfortable talking to him. Like we knew each other for years. ''Shit! It's 9:45pm'' he said and laughed. ''I know, OH MY GOD! I haven't even realised.'' I said shocked. ''It was nice talking to you and stuff.'' He laughed, it was the cutest thing ever. ''I need your number.'' He said just before i left. ''But it's in the computer?'' I said, wandering why he wanted my number. ''The system is down!'' he said and kind of blushed ''It was working well few minute ago'' I laughed and wrote my number down on a piece of paper. I took my things out of the locker and waved at him and nearly walked into the door.
