The nurse then asked me to follow her to my friends room. I then followed her down a long hallway while I smiled like an idiot thinking about my conversation with Dave. I kept thinking that her looked idly familiar but I couldn't put my finger on where I had seen him. I got snapped out of my thoughts when we arrived at Ambers room. The nurse then opened the door for me and closed it after I stepped in. As I stepped closer to the bed where Amber was laying she looked up at me and yelled my name. "I can't believe you're here". She said as she pulled me into a big hug. " of course I'm here, you're my best friend". I assured her. I sat down next to her and we talked for a while about nonsense. Then I brought up what just happened in the other room. I told Amber everything that happened in the waiting room. When I explained everything Sydney squealed. "Sydney has a crush, Sydney has a crush". Amber teased. " be quiet I just met him I don't have a crush on him". "Whatever you say Sydney". Amber said sarcastically. "It's getting late I'm going to head home, are you sure you'll be okay until you get home"? "Yeah I'm sure I'll be fine, you get home and text your BOYFRIEND". Amber joked. " okay well I'll see you when you get home next week. I'll call you tomorrow Amber." I told her goodbye and then walked out the door and left the hospital. I clutched my jacket tightly as I jogged to my car. I hopped in and headed towards home as quickly as possible.
