Chapter 4

Tumble's Pov

I've always liked Mystic well not always but ever since I was old enough to have feelings like this. He seemed so lonely back then when Munk was announced protector of the tribe and Tugger just stopped playing with him. He became aloof and quiet until I met him.

I kissed his lips and he wrapped his arms around my neck. My paws slid up and down his sides, his fingers tangled in my head fur. He was purring against my lips making me purr. I pulled away from him and licked his cheek. He giggled and nuzzled my neck. I laughed.

"Mystic that tickles." I said rolling off if him, nuzzling him.

"Why did you do that?" He asked sitting up and holding his tail.

"I did it because I like you....a lot. What you don't know is that some of the other toms have been talking about you, Misto, and Victoria." I said sitting up and scratching my head.

"About what?" He said sitting cross legged, facing me.

"Like they are wondering if you guys are ever interested in anything. This goes for Misto too, not Victoria because she has a mate, Plato. I mean Misto is a great dancer and is a great magician. Maybe you'll be a magical cat one day." After I said that Mysic's eyes went wide.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

Mystic's Pov

My eyes went wide when Tumble said maybe I'll be a magical cat one day, I think I already am! After what happened with Tugger is the reason why I so upset.

"What's wrong?" He started stroking me behind my ear making me purr.

"I think I already am a magical cat." I said quietly.

"What? Really?" He said smiling and stopped stroking behind my ear. "When did it happen?!" He sounded so excited. Wait until he hears how it happened.

"When I was at Tugger's den." I said burying my face in the blankets on my bed.

"Oh." He said blushing. "Well, that's something."

I swatted at my ears and the air because I was hearing ringing noise coming from somewhere. The noise continued to get louder until it actually started to hurt my ears.

"Where's that ringing coming from?!" I yelled crawling out of the den, climbing onto the top of my den and standing up cautiously. Tumble somersaulted out the den and looked around, pretty soon all the Jellicles were out. Some came out of the pipe that was under Tugger's tree den and next to the tire. Some were popping out from behind the broken chairs that were stacked on top of each other. Everyone came out and crawled to the clearing. I jumped off of my den and crawled over to Victoria and Misto. They looked at me and nuzzled me, I nuzzled them back, the ringing was getting louder.

I saw Cassandra, a dark brown Siberian cat, next to Exotica, who was pretty much the same color and breed as her. They weren't sister though. Demeter was the one to crawl ahead of everyone, she started to hiss, she suddenly jumped to her feet. I started to feel a familiar presence, a presence I haven't felt since I was three days old. I looked at Misto and Victoria, he was holding her in his arms as she trembled in fear.

"MACAVITY!!!" I snapped my gaze back over to Demeter who was facing us, everyone quickly scattered back to their dens or hideouts. I stayed where I was looking around, I didn't see Victoria anywhere, Misto was still beside me. Munk, Alonzo, and even Tugger was still here. They were all glaring even Misto, which was something people never saw. I was the first one to slowly stand up, followed by Munk. Then Tugger, Alonzo and Misto. Tugger walked cautiously over to me, Alonzo made his way quickly over to Misto. I made my way over to the old car, with the help of Tugger, got on top of the trunk and leaping onto the wooden beams and standing in front of the broken clock. Tugger copied me and squatted next to me, looking around, Misto and Alonzo leapt onto the tire, and Munk walking around the clearing.
