* i started this story when i was 10ish. So the beginning is slightly confusing but i will not change it. Thanks for reading :D
BRITTNI
"So are you sure you can come over to my house after school? Your mom is going to kill you if your not home for dinner!"
"Oh come on, give me a break. My mom knows I'll be over at your house if I'm not home."
For the past ten years, Justin has always come over everyday, to do 'homework'. I looked over at him. We were walking in to my house, when my guardian called.
"Brittni, why are you not home? Are you with that boy?"
"I'm walking through the door right now. And 'that boy' has a name."
I slid the phone into my pocket and told Justin to meet me upstairs.
"I'll be right up."
"Sure."
I took off my school jacket and walked into the living room to my guardian. She looked drunk, maybe even high. She probably finished a whole bottle.
"Hey, Ms. P. I'm going to be in my room. Doing homework. Is it ok if Justin spends the night tonight. His mom said it was ok with her."
"Sure, no problamo."
Dang, she is drunk. She usually would shout and scream at me for even having a boy in the house. Hit me really, to ask my guy friend to spend the night.
"Have fun kiddo's!"
I ran up the stairs and opened my door. Justin already had everything set up.
"Hey, kiddo."
"Ha Ha, your very funny."
I sat next to him on my bed. He looked over at me and smiled. That smile always took the breath from me. He looked so gorgeous.
'I love you,' say it you dummy. Say that you love me, please.
"Britt, do you want to know something?"
"Sure." I replied, shyly.
"well I'm in lo... I need help getting this girl something. Could you tell me what she would like?"
"It depends on who the girl is."
"Hmm, let me think. she's about 5'6. She has the most beautiful blond hair, and the most taking blue eyes. She loves to read, what else? Oh, and I love her very much."
I sat there stunned. How could he say that? He knows I like him, right? Why would he do this to me?
"I was wondering, on your opinion. What's something that you would like?" He paused. "If you were her?"
"I don't know, probably something that looks expensive, but that's not. Because, I don't know about her, but girls usually don't like it when guys spend a lot of money on them, because they will probably think that you were trying to make a flatter out of yourself. Technically, something that can be held to their heart for a while."
"Well what's something you would like? Because I know that your birthday's in a couple of months and you cant wait to turn 18."
"Me? Um, something I can remember you by. That would be the best gift ever. What's that girls name? You don't have to tell me. I'm just curious.
"Well, if I told you, you'll be mad. It's someone really close to you. You see her everyday."
"Ok, I don't want to play guessing games. lets do homework."
