NEW/OLD ENCOUNTERS

"Hi," he said to me with a smirk on his face.
"...Uh ...Ummm... Hi!"
JEEZ! I must sound like an idiot.

He didn't say anything after that and everything was quiet and peaceful except for the awkward silence and the excruciating feeling of eyes roaming around me and being the idiot I am, I just had to look...

"Hey Princess,"
It seemed like that smirk never seemed to escape his face ever since he sat down next to me

"Umm... It's Kend-..."
"Kendall?... Yeah, I know."

Oh then why the hell you calling me Princess?!?

And as if reading my mind, he replies...
"I just like calling you Princess"

Oh ok, perfectly normal...
"Um... Ok?"
He's still staring at me

"Do you need something?"
I say with all the confidence I could muster and he seems to be amused by this

"No."
"Then could you please stop staring at me?!?"
"Hmmm... No."
"And why not."
"No reason."

Jeez, this guy is something else.

"Would the two of you like to explain to the rest of the class what's sooo interesting?"

I am so dead.
Me and Ryan just sit there frozen trying to think what to reply to Mr. J while the rest of the class stares at us,
some with pity, and some like we just came from another planet!

"I'm waiting..."
Mr. J says tapping his foot impatiently and I was just about to come up with a really good lie when I notice Ryan looking at me with a mischievous smirk that just got me a bad feeling and in the most casual way he says
"No explanation, Sir. We were just chatting."

Oh no he didn't
"Well then, you can continue your little conversation in DETENTION!!! "

No no no, I've never been to detention in my life!!
And now all of a sudden, I'm going to it and it's not even my fault and...

"Drrriiiiiinnnnnnggggg!!!"

"Ok class," Mr. J says
"Your homework is on page 47, the first and second exercise. Oh, and Simetra and Summers, don't forget your detention after school."

Yeah don't remind me.
And as I'm leaving, Ryan starts following me.
"What do you want now!?"
I snap.
And again with that smirk that never seems to falter on his face, he arrogantly says
"See you at detention, Princess."
And walks away quickly before I could say anything else.

So I'm out of the class and...

"KENDALL!!!" Screams my 'a little too loud' BFF, but hey I miss her and haven't seen her in a long time so
"JENNY!!!"
"Oh I missed you so much!
Wait, Kays! You've changed so much! OMG! Look at you girl!!!"
"I missed you too JB. What's up?"

Jenny's my bestest best friend ever ( which I haven't seen since school 'vaykayed) and I love her soooo much. Her real name's Jennifer Barsena and she's a style queen! She could've been rolling with the populars ( or 'FAUX' as we like to call them) but chose to stay with me and despises them as much as... 'Wait, rephrase'... More than me.
Oh! And 'Kays' the nickname she gave me while I call her Jenny or JB(hahaha get it).

"I'm great but giiiirl, you've changed!"
"You like it?" I said in a kind of French accent and did a twirl.
"You kidding me?!? I love it!"
Another boost of confidence,

Our conversation was then rudely interrupted when
SHE walked up...

"Hey, girls!"
Oh great!
Stephanie. The mean girl which makes it a priority to ruin my life, with her minions.

"What'd you want b**ch!"
Yeah, Jenny said stuff like that, me,not so much.

"Jenny?!" She said as if stunned.
"That's no way to talk to your friend."

Oh yeah sure.. When'd you become the BFF Guru ..😒

"Ohhh, so were on nick-name basis now. Well look. 'STEPH'..."Jenny started but was quickly cut off by 'Her Royal Highness'...

"Nah, never mind, I didn't come here for you anyway"
She then turned her attention towards me.

"Kenny doll..." She said in the fakest sweet voice I've ever heard.
"I heard your the talk of the school now"

Me, really. Oh wow...
Wait, back to the subject!

"Yeah, and..." Wait, was this really me talking? Wow, what a boost of confidence.

"Oooh. Feisty! I like it."
"What do you want Stephanie!"
"Ok, ok. No need to get your panties in a bunch!"

WHO EVEN SAYS THAT ANYMORE!

By this time, I realized we were surrounded by a crowd that was basically waiting to see what would happen cheering either side

"Just wanted to tell you to back off and keep your hands OFF Ryan!"

"OOOOOH" that was the crowd. Then, everyone was looking at me for a response, including Jenny.

"Why? You afraid he's gonna be all over me instead of you?!?"

Why did I just say that?!?
Well... can't take it back now.

"OOOOOH! BURN!"
"Wooooh!"
"Ooouch!"

WOW! The feedback from the crowd was amazing!

"Y-you... Just be warned!"

She turned around and walked away cuz she didn't have anything left to say.
(Hey, you like the rhyme I did there😉)

Anyway, I never thought it would take just a small comeback to make Stephanie back down and the crowd go wild, nevertheless, it's fine with me.
But I guess since nobody ever opposes Stephanie, she wasn't ready for it.

"YAAY!"
"Wooohooo!"
"You SHOWED Her!"
'CHEERING'
Wow. All that from the crowd to me?!?

"Congrats girl! I knew you had it in you!"
"Thanks JB!" I said and she gave me a big hug.
