Chapter 7

(Ciara's POV)

This morning Alpha James called a pack meeting. I wonder why. It has to be something important though, he mentions it's about the rouges, which, not to brag, we totally destroyed yesturday.

I met up with Zane, Blane, and Avery when I left my room. Blane and Avery we're being lovey, Zane was gagging, and I was covering my eyes. That couple stuff is seriously disgusting. Humans would find it cute, as if they were just a normal couple madly in love. Werewolfs, however, know the truth. Their mates. Which makes it that much more digusting, and their sound when they kiss UGH! Wolf hearing just makes it that much more clear that the sounds their making are there, not just a figment of your imagination.

In my faze of thinking, I hadn't realized that we we're here at the meeting. James and his mate, whose names I learned was Jenna, front and center.

"Attention, Blood Sun, you were called here today, because of the rouges. That was a big army we took down yesturday, and for that, you should be proud, but I'm sure there are more. As we were informed by an ex pack memeber, the spy in our group, this was only the beginning. Due to the recent attack, the large numbers, and how fast they could be grouping at the moment, we have called for help from a neighboring pack."

At this point he looked at me in pity, and everyone saw it. They made way for me to come to stage, I did. I feared so badly at what he might say next.

"What pack did you call for?" I said with a shaky breath when I finally reached the stage.

"I'm sorry."

"What pack did you call for?" I said slowly.

"I'm so sorry, Ciara! We called for the Black Moon."

And with that knowledge, I fainted.

"Why'd you tell her?"

"Because, she needed to know."

"Ok. You're right. Look, we need to train her harder. She will need to do everything she can to show them she's not weak little girl anymore." Said voices. At the last sentence, I opened my eyes and sat up. I saw that it was James and Jenna.

"You're right, let's go then."

"How much did you hear?" Jenna asked me.

"Enough to know that you're right, I need to get it together. They can't rule my life for- ah!"

I dropped to the ground, screaming in pain.

"Help me! Please someone make it stop!"

It hurt so bad. Either my wolf accepted the rejection, which I know isn't possible she wouldn't have hurt me this bad, or something happened to Jace.

It burned. Where my mark was supposed to be, was like fire. The skin around it tightening, making it hard to breathe. It all burned. I soon couldn't see. And with that, I drew my final breath, before I passed out.

For the second time today I woke up in a hospital bed. All of that pain suddenly came back to me. I found once again very difficult to breathe. I felt like someone was chocking me.

"Ciara calm down! Just calm down, everything will be alright. Just relax."

I did as I was told, soon the pain was like a dull throb. I looked up and saw Zane standing there, corcern filling his features.

"Zane, what happened. Please tell me the truth."

"He marked another woman."

(Jace's POV)

I'm walking down the hall holding hands with Robin. I marked her today, my mom is going to get me for this. I didn't even want to mark her. I miss Ciara. My dad told me to. He said the pack needed a Luna since I am the new Alpha. He also cowered behind his chair. FLASHBACK!

My dad called me in his office. He said something about the Pack Buisness. Yeah.

"Yes dad?"

"Hey son. I have some Alpha buisness for you."

"Um.. ok? What is it?"

"We need a Luna for the pack."

"Ok. As soon as I get Ciara back, we'll have one."

"No no no, we need one now. Mark Robin."

"Dad, mom doesn't like her. She won't like me or you if she finds out that she's going to be the new Luna."

"No, she'll still love me, she won't like you."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm not telling her, you are."

"What?! Ok fine, then what are going to do."

At this he stood up.

"I, am going to be curled up in a ball, behind my chair, under my desk, until this whole thing blows over. Goodbye and good luck."

So this is fantastic. I have to mark Robin, tell my mom, run for my life, then announce Robin as the new Luna. Nice going Dad. Real nice.

As I came to the door of my room, I could smell Robin was already in there.

"Hey Robin."

"Hey babe. Look I'm sorry about your mate. 'm sorry for everything I did."

As much as it pained me to say,"You are my mate, what are you sorry for? Now come over here, let me mark you."

She did as she was told. I marked.. Robin. gross

I know how much pain the caused Ciara, I'm sorry.

Too, late for that now, stupid human, my wolf mocked.

Shut up.

I feel so horrible right now. Maybe she hasn't moved on.

Thats what happened. Gosh, that was alot.

I saw my mom in the hallway, and pushed Robin into another room.

"Hey Jace."

"Hey mom," I said nervously.

"What's wrong."

"I marked Rob..."

"What?"

"I marked R..."

"SAY IT!"

"I MARKED ROBIN! There! Your stupid mate tol me to!"

I couldn't breathe suddenly. I found she was choking me.

"WHAT?! THAT GIRL IS GOING TO BE THE NEW LUNA?! NO, NO, NO! YOU AND YOUR FATHER BETTER FIX THIS! FIND CIARA BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE AND FINDS HER SECOND CHANCE. AND NEVER CALL MY MATE STUPID! HE BELONGS TO ME! ONLY I CAN CALL HIM STUPID! DO IT AGAIN AND I KILL YOU! HE'S MY MATE! MINE!" At those couple last sentences I could tell her wolf took over, and she dropped me to the ground. Some of it I could tell was her. She's always been possesive over my dad. She almost killed a shewolf for calling him cute. But that was her wolf, at the last second she took over and apologised, with a threat. She walked off down the hall, probably to my dad's office, muttering, "My mate, mine."

I got a call from an Alpha named James.

"Hello, Alpha Jace here."

"Yeah, hey man. Look, my pack and I just got attacked by 200 rouges."

"Really? That's crazy man."

"I know dude. So look man I need help."

"Sure, bro, whatever. What is it?"

"Could you and your pack, Black Moon, come to the Blood Sun territory in a month, with everyone prepared?"

"Sure, no problem. What time? And when you tellin' this to your pack?"

"Around nine. And after ththis call ends."

"Alright, see you in a month."

"Bye."

And with that, I ended a phone call with a guy that I talked to like we've known each other for years.
