Dan bit his lip anxiously, and looked over at Phil. Somehow, he was calm.They were sat in a hall full of more than a thousand people, and they were going to announce the most important news of their life, yet Phil was just sat there as if he was at home. They were at the Brits,the annual show where celebrities get awards for doing something good. That's what bothered Dan, he felt like he didn't belong. He didn't feel like a 'celebrity' at all. He just felt like a normal person who complains about his problems on the Internet.He glanced back at the stage. It was time for the youtubers segment.

Dan's palms were starting to feel clammy, as he wiped them on his suit trousers.Phil was acting quite calm and collected, though on the inside he had millions of tiny butterflies flying around his belly, or at least thats what it felt like.Dan quickly tried to advert his attention to something else, as he knew it might be his turn soon.He gazed at Phil once again.He admired his beauty, and his breathing started to become normal again.He so badly wanted to grab his hand right then and there and give him a kiss, though he knew that was impossible. Dan and Phil had confessed their love to eachother a week before, because of Dan accidentally saying 'I love you' during the filming of a gaming video. In that moment Dan thought his life was going to end and he quickly laughed it off, but Phil turned the camera off and admitted that he felt the same way. It felt like heaven for Dan.Who knew that the guy he admired on YouTube would turn out to be his housemate and his lover? This was definitely calming him down a little, and Dan started to feel confident once more. They hadn't announced their relationship in front of anyone, not even their familys, so this would be a surprise for everyone.Finally Dan heard the presenter call out 'Best YouTube Roommates'. It was between Dan and Phil, and Joe and Caspar.

There was a drumroll, and then it turned out that Dan and Phil won. Time stopped still for Dan, as he took a second to realise what just happened. Phil looked him in the eye"Dan,we won!"
Dan just stared on shocked, until being tapped on the shoulder by some old man behind him, and the spotlight shone brightly in his eyes. He slowly stood up and made his way to the stage to accept his award. It was dan's turn to speak first so he swallowed down his fears and put his mouth near the microphone. "I can't believe this has happened, to me of all people. I never knew I would make it this far, and I just want to thank all of mine and Phils devoted viewers and , for sticking with us, no matter how long you've been with us. I love you all."Dan swallowed again and said "We-We have something to announce".Phil took dan's hand in his, as he said "I love you,Dan".

"I love you too,Phil" Dan said as Phil wiped a tear away from his cheek.The whole crowd blew up in a loud cheer.Dan covered his face with his hands, as Phil picked him up bridal style, and gave him a peck on the lips. Dan had a huge smile over his face, and Phil was beaming brighter than sunshine. They made their way back down the stage and to their seats, as the whole crowd were still erupting in a giant cheer. Dan could imagine all the people at home being happy for them, and then all the horrible people, but then he blocked them out. All he knew was that he loved Phil, and that's all that matters.

As soon as they got home, Dan kissed Phil on the lips and smiled so wide his face started to get sore, but he didn't care because the reason was the love of his life. He felt like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders, and he finally looked at tweets he had got since he got home.As soon as he turned his phone back on, an explosion of notifications came flying out his phone, and he took a moment to read some of them with Phil.
"I'm so happy for you guys, I love you so much and I wish you all the best in the future. <3"
"Omg, I knew it was real, I'm so proud of you guys"
"You two are so cute,I just have to say that I love you!"
Dan and Phil both smiled as they scrolled through them, but Phil lowered the phone from Dan, and put both their phones on the side."Tonight's going to be just about us, ok babe?"
