Chapter 1: Searching for Words to Express My Hatred Towards..Everyone

"Bee! Come down here, breakfast is ready!" Annabelle Tatum was no longer the scared little 5 year old girl sitting at the foot of the stairs waiting patiently for her mothers return. Ten years later she is now an independant 15 year old woman who isn't afraid of anything.

"Coming dad!" Annabelle screamed down stairs remembering to grab her book bag. She ran down stairs, grabbed a piece of bacon, said bye to her dad, and raced outside to see her best friend's car parked in the front of her house. "Took you long enough!" Screamed Mary-Ann, A.K.A Annabelle's best friend since the 2nd grade.

"Sorry." She said with a goofy apologetic smile. "My dad woke me up late, and the twins broke my alarm clock the night before." The 'twins' are Annabelle's younger half-brothers, two 5 year old boys, with intentions of making her life a living hell. This involves breaking her things, hiding her book bag when shes running late, and putting gum in her hair brush.

"If you're not going to kill them off soon, I think I might." She gave a little devilish smirk while pulling out of the drive way. "I'm working on it," Annabelle said with a little enthusiasm but sarcastically. "Anyways you look nice today." Annabelle said gesturing towards Mary-Ann's outfit for today.

"Why thank you chicka" She said not taking her eyes off the road. Mary-Ann was beautiful, she had sandy brown shoulder length hair, hazel eyes, and she had this kind of chic flower child look to her. She wore flowers in her hair, long earthy color skirts, and she listened to 70's stoner music.

Annabelle was no doubt a little jealous of Mary-Ann at times, seeing as she gets a lot of attention from some of the boys in her 'earth club'. Annabelle even though being extremely lovable never really seemed to capture the attention of a boy. She was beautiful no doubt about that but, something about her just seemed to send the boys running. Maybe it was over protective father? Who knows.

Annabelle had dark mahogany medium length hair that fell straight down. She had dark brown eyes that pierced through your soul, and tan skin being she has a little Latin blood in her on her fathers side. She was wearing a pink and grey American Eagle sweatshirt with some black leggings and uggs.

'Hey I just met you, and this crazy! But here's my number. So call me maybe!' The radio blared the pop song that made Annabelle's and Mary-Ann's stomach turn. "Oh my god! The horror!" Mary-Ann screamed knitting her eyebrows together making the goofiest face ever. "I'm changing it!" Annabelle laughed.

'I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing, just prayin' to a god that I don't believe in. 'Cause I got time while she got freedom' They both sighed in relief. Finally some real music. They sat in the car jamming out all the way to school. When they arrived they went in search of their third musketeer.

"Cory!" The girls screamed in unison as Cory turned to face them. "Hey." He said with his signature awkward smirk, removing the ear buds from his head. The girls took turns hugging him and than began to walk to homeroom. The three of them have been separated over winter break. Annabelle went skiing with her grandparents in Vermont, Mary-Ann went hiking in Arizona (the only place with weather bearable enough this time of the year), and Cory was stuck at his aunts while his parents were in Denver.

The fact they all survived the 4 weeks separated from each other, is nothing short of a miracle. "How was your torture?" Mary-Ann asked Cory dryly. "My aunt isn't that bad you guys." He protested. "Cory, the women is a sadist. I mean, no one with that many cats and hasn't died of the stench clearly has some connections with the devil." Annabelle said jokingly. Cory shrugged his shoulders and let out a small sigh.

Cory has only known the girls since the 7th grade. He was the new kid with social issues, so Annabelle and Mary-Ann had to make the first approach. Ever since then all three have been inseparable. The three stopped dead in their tracks, and watched in horror as there nightmares came to life. The only person they dread to see, the girl who could send chills down your spine, stood only feet from them.

"Hello Annie." Her voice makes nails on a chalkboard seem pleasant. "Sissy." Annabelle said raising an eyebrow. Sierra Callaway, otherwise known as 'Hitler in the body of a teenage girl' made every other girl in the school too scared to stand up to her. She was student body president, and proclaimed to be the school's biggest slut.

"You haven't changed a bit, Annie." She smirked and raised an eyebrow, studying Annabelle carefully. "Nope, still fat and ugly as always." Giving Annabelle a death stare and smiling, as if telling her to 'beat that'.

"well you've changed quite a bit, Sierra. Yep I see you got the boob and nose job after all." Mary-Ann butted in taking up Sierra's challenging offer. Sierra scoffed as her and her little clique pushed through them. "Well that was fun." Cory said with a blank expression.

They made their way into homeroom and sat at their desks that they've had since the beginning of the year. Three seats in the back corner where they weren't bothered or interrupted. They sat discussing how boring their vacation was without each others company, and greeted their other classmates.

"Hey, Bee." Mary-Ann whispered. "Yeah?" Annabelle responded. "Do you know that kid? He keeps glancing over here." Annabelle turned to the direction she was pointing too. Her eyes widened and her pulse began to race. He was gorgeous, perhaps the most handsome guy she's ever seen. He was 6' ft. of pure perfection. His short sexy hair was perfect even as his fingers ran through it, his lips looked so soft and kissable, and his tight shirt had his muscles looking like they just wanted to pop right out.

"Bee!" Mary-Ann pulled Annabelle out of her fantasy world, and Annabelle looked up. Confusion spilled all over her face. "Do you know him?" She pushed. "I do." Cory came in. "You do?" Annabelle and Mary-Ann look at him suspiciously. "Yeah." He said stretching out the 'E'. "Derek tried to talk to him earlier. Apparently his name is David O'conner, he's 16, he just moved here from Chicago after his mom remarried." He explains. "He seems perfect." She said giving Annabelle the 'go talk to him' look.

"Um not exactly." Cory said depressingly. "Why not?" Mary-Ann said trying not to sound too suspicious. "Well supposedly this is the 5 high school he's been to in two years, he's been kicked out for violence, drug usage, weapons on school premises, and misconduct." He said looking at Annabelle a little apologetically. Annabelle looks down and gives out a little sigh. "I've got more bad news," The girls look at him disappointingly.

"The man his mother married is none other but... Dr. Callaway, Sierra's dad." The girls mouth hang open in shock 'No, no, no ,no, no this cant be possible. He looks like a nice guy, this can't possibly be true. Maybe Cory's just making this up so I wont get hurt. Ugh Sierra always finds a way to make me suffer.' Annabelle sat thinking silently to herself shaking her head as it faced the floor, mouth still open from the horrifying news.

"What are you doing Bee?" Mary-Ann asked staring at Annabelle. "Searching for words to express my hatred towards everyone." Annabelle finally let out. "Everyone?" Cory asked giving Annabelle puppy dog eyes while Mary-Ann wrapped both arms around his torso."Yes." She said immediately, quickly smiling at her ridiculous looking friends.

Annabelle had gone through the whole class not thinking about the not-so-mysterious bad boy who was only a few desks away from her. He on the other hand couldn't keep his eyes off her.
