Don't leave me alone with my thoughts
for they'll eat me alive.
Showing no mercy
as I struggle to survive.
Voices in my head, voices in my mind.
Voices that just won't leave me behind.
They're messing with my head,
causing me to cry myself to sleep
and cut my heart so deep.
"Don't fight for your sanity
we'll take what's left of your humanity.
Pushing you over the edge
till you're barely hanging on that ledge."
Darling, it's getting harder and harder
trying to stay alive.
But is it really worth it,
fighting for my life?
