*Maddilynn's POV*

I was drumming lightly on the dashboard, tapping out the rhythm of our bands newest song, "Summertime". I'm the drummer in a band called Infinity. Original, I know, but we liked it so it kind of stuck. I hear my bandmate, Jada, singing along to my tapping, so I start singing my part as well. I'm currently en route to the One Direction/5 Seconds of Summer concert with my cousin Spencer, Jada and our guitarist, Alice. We had worked hard starting last year to get money for the VIP tickets for today, playing in gigs around the Houston area and even selling some cds in local stores. We had waited and waited until the precise moment the tickets went on sale in order to be sure we got the VIP tickets and when we bought them we were ecstatic. We have a couple of our cds with us that we are planning on giving to One Direction and 5sos, in hopes they will like it. I had been a fan of 1D for a little over a year and a half, but I was new to the 5sos family. I could not put into words how excited I was to meet them and show them our music.

"Hey Spence," I said picking up the phone laying on the console. "Lucca texted you. He wants to know what you're doing."

"Just tell him we're going to the concert and I'll text or call him when I get home." She responded, keeping her eyes on the road in front of her. "Almost there!" She glanced over at me and smiled. Lucca was Spencer's long-distance boyfriend from Dallas. They had been together since her junior year, but after graduation Spencer had moved to Houston and Lucca had stayed in Dallas. Spence and I had been close since we were born, seeing as we were cousins and fairly close in age and we had always planned to live close together once we were old enough. Spence and I always joked with each other since we were exactly two years apart, minus two minutes. I had become an emancipated minor when I turned sixteen last September, it's now June. After leaving my home, I had moved into a small apartment that my grandmother payed the rent for. It wasn't that I didn't love my parents, I just needed to get out of the house. When school ended for Spencer a few weeks ago, she moved down here into a penthouse in downtown Houston, so as we had planned for years, I moved in with her. The past few weeks had been super exciting, not only because we lived together now, but because we were anxiously waiting for today, June fifteenth, the day we would meet our idols.

So here we are, pulling into the parking garage connected to the arena that the bands were playing at. My phone buzzes in my lap and I checked it to see a tweet from Calum.

@Calum5SOS: Houston!! Almost time for the meet and greet! Heard girls are hot in Houston... Guess we'll see (;

I laugh and read it out loud to my cousin and my bandmates, who laugh along with me. I really favoured Calum in 5sos. Don't get me wrong, I love them all but there as something about Calum that got me. I climb out of the car fixing my outfit. I was wearing a typical fangirl look, shorts a crop top and vans. Although we probably blended in with almost every other girl at the concert, our intention wasn't to get the guys attention by dressing somewhat slutty, it was just the style we all enjoyed and felt good in. Mine shows off the crystal anchor belly ring I had gotten a couple of days ago when I went to the Galleria with Spencer. It also showed the faint indention of the abs I had been working on for months. I tug gently at the hem of my shorts making sure the aren't revealing too much. I had tried to make my makeup look as good as possible without looking like I had put on twenty pounds of it and I think I did a fairly decent job.

"You ready girls? Alice, you have the CD?" Alice nods. This could be our chance to actually get somewhere with our music career. Well that sounds kind of bad, that's definitely not the only reason we were here, it was just a very unlikely plus to meeting them.

"Shall we take a picture?" Spence asks smiling and pulling out her phone. We all step in together and Spencer reaches her arm out to capture the moment. I can never understand how that girl manages to take perfect 'selfies' somehow she does. We hear girls screaming as Spence slides her phone back into her pocket and I turn to see the door opening to allow people with VIP tickets in. I'm smiling so hard I can feel my cheeks starting to ache already. We walk to the awaiting door trying to stay as calm as possible, but let's face it, we're finally meeting the people we had dedicated the past year or so of our lives to. We walk behind the security guard, mixed into a fairly large group of girls, although I'm rather surprised that there are not as many people as I had expected. The meet and greet was supposed to last for two hours and based on a quick look at how many people were here, we would likely get a few minutes each to talk to the boys. Granted, where as some girls may have something to tell the boys about how the had saved her life or something, all we really have to say is how much they've inspired us to become a band and to give them a CD. We finally arrive in front of a guarded closed door and the original security guard ushers us into a 'single file' line. They start letting girls in either in groups or one by one, depending on who they had come with. When the four of us reach the front they quickly check our bags and let us in. We walk in to the room, and here they are, standing about ten feet in front of us. Wow, they're just as gorgeous in person as they are in pictures.
