The climb

It was late in the morning at a small wooden inn. It was located in the middle of no where at the base of a mountain that homed many great warriors, the climb itself was fatal to most. With the added warriors trying to slay anyone that tried to reach the top meant no one had ever claimed the sacred gauntlet. This gauntlet was said to be crafted for the gods and deemed too dangerous to be used by a mortal.

Pulling himself up from his bed slowly and rubbing his eyes, dun looked over to his armour that had been standing guard the entire night, even though it was damaged it still managed to repair a fair amount to be in working order. Meanwhile dun was covered in fresh wounds and bandages, along with stitches he had done by himself to close the wounds. He was in no shape to fight and moving inside of the armour could prove fatal so he'd have to reply on it thinking for itself to keep him safe.

Slowly opening the door of the room he stayed in, a loud creak from the doors hinges ring through his ears. Exiting the room with his armour, better known as delta following being him, he took a seat at the table where breakfast was set up and waiting for him. It was a tradition in this area to feed and shelter any who wished to take on the 5 elites of the mountain. It wasn't much but it was still a good meal, bacon and eggs with a side of orange juice. The inn was all but empty leaving him to wonder who made this, was it a trap? Shrugging it off he finished eating then headed outside where a male waited for him, the first of the elite.

Gripping his bandaged side dun took a step back leaving delta to deal with the opponent. Dun gave the male a slight nod as if to show respect as he wasn't fighting in this battle, with the male seeing this he nods back and draws his blade. Delta walked over towards him and crossed his arms allowing him to take the first hit, no time was wasted as the blade was swung towards the neck of the armour where a loud crash was heard from the blade breaking. With the right arm then swiftly extending to grip his neck, the male was pulled from the ground and slammed causing the ground to shake slightly from where dun stood. Holding him down by the neck delta let out a chuckle seeing the male struggle to breath until he finally blacked out.

Making his way up the stair of the mountain along side delta, dun had to take a break as his body was already shutting down on him. Dropping to the floor with one knee bent and the other on the ground, His palm held him up as he tried to recover. During this pause in movement an arrow was fired towards him, his reflex kicked him as his forearm raised to protect his head. But without his armour he was in a shock as the arrow was now lodged in his arm, the arrow head stabbed slightly into his cheek covered in blood from his arm. How much more could he take? His body was covered in wounds as it was.

The archer finally emerged from the bushes as she then ran right towards delta with dual knifes, she slide under his right hook but he then dropped down to be seated to counter her slide to now be seated on her and utterly crush her with the solids frame. The sound of the ribs and spine breaking soon followed as he went to work with a relentless flurry of punches to the already defeated opponent. By the time he was done, dun had already proceeded on up the mountain as his time was running out.

After several moments of walking, his eyes free heavy. Slowly closing the for what felt like a second and reopening then. He found himself on the floor over looking delta taking on the last two elite, but dun couldn't just lay there and do nothing he needed to help. Looking around he found his rifle he use to carry around 24/7 it looked new, and even a bit of paint fix up. With a grin he slowly took the rifle into his arms and aimed down the sights at the males behind delta doing for a cheap shot on him, with a pull of the trigger the barrel glows bright before discharging the round all in a heart beat. Upon impact the target was turned to ash that blew away in the wind.

The the fight now even, delta had better odds as the male threw a right hook towards his head his fast reflexes allowed him to easily catch the fist in his left hand before pulling the fist downwards. he then raised his right knee into the males jaw with a sickening crunch clearly giving the impression the bone was shattered in the process. The male fell limp as Delta pulled the arm upwards roughly to rip it out of the socket, and send him up in the the air where he would be facing upwards and his back towards the ground. Bringing his left hand to the males upper chest and right and to his stomach, Delta then forced him downwards with a crouch to snap the back on his knee.

Having to drag himself up to his feet, dun used the rifle as a walking stick before delta came to his side and aid him. At last the item he seeks was in his reach, grasping the gauntlet his entire body locks up and his hazel coloured eyes go white to the point of light being admitted from them. His wounds began to heal and his strength soon returning to him. Regaining movement of his body, he placed the gauntlet on his right hand as it seemed to merge into his flesh. With his body healed and his abilities returned to him, he was no able to wear his armour that tapped into his restored healing factory to heal and repair itself due to its organic nature.

He then started to have problems with his vision as he starts to see things. Tied up, beaten, tortured.. Was that the lab we was made in? Seeing a tear run down the females face he knew who it was.. Sure they had their fights, but they always had the best of times together. Extending his hand in front of himself a rift was opened leading to near her position as he then stepped through it. His armour now repaired and in working order. He was ready for anything.

-appearing almost face to ace with her his left forearm was raised allowing the chain to wrap around it. Swinging his right hand upwards allowed the held blade to slice through it. "Glad to see you" a grin formed behind his mask but seeing the condition she was in also filled him with rage. Turning to look behind him, he glared at the 3 thugs. One went to grab the door but was soon stopped as the blade was thrown through his left shoulder and pinning him to the door. Hardly missing the heart, he was forced to slowly suffer. Seeing the other two he cracked his neck as a tight bit of static was heart. Before the sound of his neck cracking reached the males ears he was standing between them both having a knife to each of their thrusts. Taking a step forwards and a flick of his wrists their necks were slit open. It must have taken a lot to set him over the edge as he'd usually refuse the use of his own powers. Pulling the blade free from the pinned male and turning him around the blade was

Send from one side to the other along his gut causing his insides to fall out by his feet and slowly dropping dead. Turning to face the bound woman he ripped the bindings from the wall and freed her wrists, then used his blade to free her ankles. "Look at you, you're a hot mess as always. Come on let's get you home" bringing the females arm over his shoulder he then crouched and picked her up from the back of her knees and upper back. Opening a rift he slowly headed towards it but left a ace of spades card behind as a calling card. exiting the rift they would now be in a white room where their daughter awaited them both. She was happy to see her mother yet horrified at her current state. Setting her on the bed dun took a seat on a chair by her side letting out a sigh while ciri went to work on treating her wounds with what limited healing magic she knew.

After several hours and little sign of improvement he let out a sigh before the gauntlet he took earlier soon emerged from his flesh. Removing it blood soon came from his eyes, nose, ears. Slipping it onto her hand it slowly faded into her flesh. her body would begin to heal while dun fell along next to her on the bed. He was weak all over again, but she needed to live more then him. Gently holding her hand in his, he forced a smile saying "you're going to be ok.. I'm just going to take.. A.. Nap..." The smile slowly fades as his eyes close allowing a tear to roll down his cheek, his breathing slows down along with his heart rate. He couldn't be defeated could he...
