I had woke up from a deep sleep, to the smell of fire. It took me a while to realize that my house was burning! I immediately ran downstairs to the kitchen all in flames, it quickly spread to the living room. I dashed for the backdoor but stopped to realize all exits were closed. I sprinted to my room coughing. I quickly grabbed my bag already packed. I wasn't sure why i had time to pack everything and climb out the window but all i was only concerned about getting out of the house alive. I had second thoughts about jumping from the 2 story house, but behind me was an explosion. I turned around to fire bursting out the window of my room. I leaped onto the grass in pain and ran out into the street. I sat down by my favorite oak tree and watched in tears as my house burnt to ashes. A few minutes later I heard a loud noise coming from down the street. Finally the Fire department arrived but by then everything was gone. They escorted me to the hospital when they realized i had gotten burned and was passed out. I awoke in a light room surrounded by curtains. A tall blond nurse came in, "my names Nurse Windy," She stated. . "How did I get here?" I asked sitting up. "The fire department brought you hear, you got burned pretty bad on your shoulder," She replied trying to calm me down. "Do you know what happened?" Windy  asked as she unwrapped the gauze on my shoulder. "I'm not sure." I replied rubbing my head. "Have you anywhere else to go?" "Only to my aunt's but she lives in New Jersey and I have no money to fly across the country." I replied hopeless. We both were interrupted to my doctor coming in. "Everything alright?" He asked. "Of course," Windy replied. "Its good to see you again Misty." He said holding out his hand to greet me. "You too." I replied shaking his hand. "Looks like your safe to go home." He said looking at his clip board. I then grabbed my things and headed towards home. I remembered that it burned down but the fire fighters didn't care to pick up my things by the old oak tree. I prayed that it hadn't burned down too along with my bag of memories. When I arrived I realized that the fire only reached 3 quarters of the way towards the tree. I stood on the ashes as tears poured out my eyes. Everything I loved was gone. I puffed up and slowly walked away with out caring to look back. I climbed up the oak tree to the top branch. There I pulled out a book and my phone.  I called my aunt asking if she knew what happened. She told me she had already payed for my flight ticket. I hung up, covered myself in my blanket that i pulled out of my bag, and sat and read as I watched the sun set behind the mountains. I awoke in the morning to a lizard on my chest. I shewed it away and quietly got down. Today was a new day and I put everything behind me. I walked down to the town and called a taxi. I found only $75 in my wallet, just enough to drive me to the airport. Apparently aunt Bella called and payed for the ticket because they let me through. I quickly walked to the front of the plane and sat down alone. I laid my head down on a pillow and quickly fell asleep.
