The jack with the same two pink heart emojis appears quickly on my phone. I slide my finger along the path on the screen, watching the screen change. I press speaker and place my phone on the bed.

"Hi." I mumble.

"Arabella." He states, not giving much of a greeting.

"Yes?" I whisper, my phone lighting up my dark room.

"I'll be gone for two months." He mumbles. "I need to see you. I need.." He trails off slowly and quietly.

I run my small hand through my hair a few times, letting out a deep sigh. "Jack. I know. You don't think I want to see you too?" I roll my eyes, pulling a blanket over my body.

"Then fucking see me." He says harshly. I bite my lip quickly from his tone. "Baby, I'm sorry." He mumbles softly.

I let out a small yawn, rolling onto my side. "I have to go." I mutter, hitting the red button on the iPhone screen.

I lean over and plug my phone on the nightstand, and then quickly falling asleep.
