(That's Jordan, the girl in the woods)
I was out of breath by the time I made it to the bar because I walked.
I quickly made my way through crowds of people dancing to get to the bartender. The music was blaring and made my ears hurt.I'm surprised I can still feel pain. Thought I'd be used to it by now.
"What would you like?" Asked the bartender
"Give me seven shots of vodka." I answered
"Alrighty." The bartender said as she twirled around to get a bottle of vodka.
Okay, so the plan is get tipsy, head over to the woods, shoot self. Perfect.
"Hey." Said a girl as she sat on the stool right next to me.
"Um hi." I said in a questioning tone.
Odd. Nobody usually wants to make a casual conversation with me. She must be drunk.
At that moment I looked at her and drank in her features. This girl was absolutely stunning. What is she doing, wasting her time on someone like me?
She had dirty blond hair. It was long and messy, but in a sexy way.The way she looked at people was fierce. Her eyebrows made her eyes pop out and look even more badass."Do you like you see?" She said in a joking manner.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to stare. It's just that not many people bother talking to me so I guess I was a little surprised when you came over." I replied
"Nah it's alright. I'm just a little bored cause I don't usually go to bars because whenever I do, a bunch of perverts come over to me and try to sleep with me. I'm not into that shit." She said with a sigh.
"Oh...well what's your name?" I asked her
"Jordan. You?"
"It's Devon." I replied
"Well it's nice you meet you Devon. You seem chill. I think this is the first normal conversation I've had in a bar with someone." She said with a little chuckle
I gave her a small laugh too.
"Yeah, same I guess." I said
At that moment, I noticed Jordan staring off into space. She seemed like she was deep in thought.
"Hey, you still with me?" I asked
"Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking about something that happened last night. It doesn't really matter I guess. I don't think you really care." Jordan said half-heartily
"I have all night to hear what you have to say. Hit me." I said with a slight smirk
Jordan smiled back. "Yeah sure I'll tell you."
"Well I was taking a walk in the woods to just chill, you know? All of a sudden I hear a man yell, 'Is anyone there?' I said I was here and the man was silent after that. I wondered what was up. I don't know why, but I feel like there was something more going on. I really don't know why I have that feeling. I don't even know why I'm still thinking of that, 24 hours later..."
I snorted as I took a shot.
"Oh wow. Sorry but it's getting a bit late and I have work tomorrow. It's was nice having someone to talk to for a bit. Goodbye." I said quickly as I tipped the bartender and got up to leave.
"Hey, wait a second Devon. Why are you so eager to leave all of a sudden?" She asked me in a questioning tone
"I just told you, I have work tomorrow. Now bye." I quickly replied
Jordan looked like she just had an idea.
"Wait a second. Are you that man from the woods?" Jordan asked"I said goodbye." I replied in an irritated way.
"You are, aren't you? Is everything okay? I can help." She said as she went to grab my arm
"That is non of your business now leave me alone. You can't help me for shit, no one can!" You're crazy for thinking that!" With that said, I practically ran out of the bar
As I left, I heard Jordan yelling my name.
Oh my gosh I'm so stupid! Why didn't I tell her it wasn't me? Why did I just do that? I just screwed up. Maybe I have enough time to go into the woods and die. Hopefully I do...
