"AAAAAAWWWW, Come on guys! It's raining now because you're all so slow!" Exclaimed Elouise as she struggled to hold five adult sized skateboards, plus a miniature one which she says is for her plush pigeon Harriet and I brought her for her eleventh birthday called Kelly.
"I don't believe you wowbear" Harriet says as she opens the front door next to the window I was looking through. She was engulfed by a waterfall of raindrops, which was followed by a loud grunt and a bang as Elouise dropped the skateboards and ran over to help Harriet stand up again.
"CLOSE THAT DO-" Leah screamed before she slipped on the monster of a puddle that was engulfing the floor.
I’ll have to come in now; I'm getting wet and cold, just like my chicken.
"Ladies, Ladies. There is enough Nia to go 'round everyone". I chuckled as Leah rolled onto her knees in her now soaked jeans and half soaked Disney t-shirt and stood up with a slight smile on her face. Harriet and Elouise had the same look on their faces as they all smirked in my direction.
"How nice of you to come by Nia! Well we were going skateboarding but, *breathes out* you never showed up. Oh well, we can't go now, can we?" Zayla turned around from the long mirror in the hallway with a smirk tugging on her lips.
Why does she do this to me? She knows I can't handle pressure. She just wants to see me suffer. I didn't know what to do so I threw my chicken on the water inhabited floor which caused the rest of the girls, bar Zayla to gasp and I ran to my room.
Throwing food on the floor may not be that big of a deal to you but I never throw food away.
NEVER.
I flew upstairs and pushed open my light brown bedroom door that was Najazzled (see what I did there?) with just eight small green letters which spelt out my name 'Nia Honan' and a picture of the girls and I from when we were at our Key Stage three (ages 11-15) school disco. Simple, but effective. The door swung open with ease and I then slammed it closed behind me again for the full angry effect and I ran and leaped onto my Justin Bieber Duvet set. I decided to take the time to look at my bedroom walls in great detail.
My wallpaper has purple and black stripes on with thousands of photos of the girls and I from when we were in Playschool to last week at Harriet's mother's cake party. I just love them all to bits.
I was pulled out of my deep thoughts by the sound of shuffling feet and hushed speech, which I guess I wasn't meant to hear seeing as it was about me.
"Honey, you must have really hit home to make her drop that food" That was Harriet.
"Zayla, you know about Nia not being able to handle pressurised situations. You could have discreetly let her know the consequences of her lateness or just left the situation alone. Even Elouise wouldn't have been that blunt; we know she doesn't like to sugar-coat anything" Big words. Leah.
"If Nia comes out of her room, could we go to the zoo and bring Kelly and we can have fun and ice-cream?" Elouise questioned as she tried to lighten the mood which I always find really cute. Even though she is almost twenty three, she acts like a four year old and is such a loveable person with such a quirky personality which I also find so adorable. I was quite surprised she didn’t become all sassy like she usually does. Once again I was pulled out for my thoughts by a knock at the door which caused me to jump so high I nearly hit the sun, never mind the ceiling or the roof! After I had calmed down Leah began to speak.
"Nia, we are really sorry about earlier. Zayla just doesn't understand your, fear shall I say about pressure being put onto you or anything to do with being put on the spot without any preparation or notice"
"Nia baby, can you please open your door so I can see those beautiful sparkling blue eyes of yours" Harriet always says I have beautiful blue eyes, but I don't think my eyes are as ‘beautiful’ and ‘magnificent’ as she makes them out to be, and why does she call me Baby if she is the youngest?
"It's stopped raining Nia and there's a rainbow too!" I could hear how exited Elouise was about the rainbow by how she yelled really loudly and I heard jumping outside my door.
"Nia are you looking!" Elouise shouted again and I complied seeing as I am not angry anymore. I opened my purple curtains and saw the most AMAZING DOUBLE RAINBOW OF ALL DOUBLE RAINBOWS EVER!
I smiled and opened my door a little so I could see them all fully but not all the way so that they could get in. I looked straight at Elouise and whispered "Double Sonic Rain boom" and Elouise just nodded and smiled because she knows how much I love My Little Pony. Leah and Harriet chuckled and smiled which made me smile even more. Zayla was standing behind Elouise and Leah and she coughed to get my attention, hoping that I would say something like 'I forgive you' or 'let's be friends again' but I didn't say anything. I just stared her down for about a few seconds and walked downstairs, hand-in-hand with Elouise, Harriet and Kelly and we got into the car.
Now I am not one to hold a grudge against anyone and Zayla is totally forgiven but she needs to be punished for the amount of times she has done this to me in the past. Leah had to practically drag Zayla into the car because she didn't want to come with me. Maybe she was guilty or scared of me, I'm not sure. But anyway we all got into the car and went to the zoo. Whether it was by choice or force.
