Jaylnn
"Hello?"
"Jaylnn, where are you?" Teyana yelled through the phone.
"Home, in the bed, why?" I sighed.
"Me and Aziyah outside in the front of your house child." She chuckled.
"Why didn't you guys just come in? Y'all know where the emergency key is." I got up from the bed and went to the living room.
"Oh yeah, my bad Jay." She hung up as she walked through the door with Aziyah behind her.
I walked in the kitchen and sat at the island. They walked in behind me and went through my cabinets and refrigerator to find snacks.
"Well, hey to you guys too."
"Hey my love, how are you doing?" Aziyah laughed. They always came over to invade my snacks, but I didn't mind because these girls are my best friends that I love and only have in my life. I'm very thankful for them entering my life because if they didn't, I'd be alone every day.
"Ziyah, you have such a way with words." I chuckled. After they founded everything they wanted, we went to my room.
"Jaylnn, you seem so depressed. Open up your blinds sometimes." Teyana said, opening my blinds, making the sun pour in my room. I squinted my eyes and turned away from it.
"So, where are we going today?" Aziyah said with her mouth full of cheese puffs.
"I was thinking we could go to Sky Zone and then grab a bite to eat then later on tonight, we could go skating like old times." Teyana suggested. Although it sounded fun, I'd rather stay in the house.
"How about you guys go ahead while I stay here." They gave me a stale face.
"You're coming and that's it Jaylnn. I'm tired of watching you sit in the house and mope around while Tey and I have fun." I rolled my eyes at Aziyah.
"We miss the old Jaylnn." Teyana pouted. I had to admit, I use to have lots of fun when I was younger. After my parents died, my life hasn't been the same since then.
I sighed, "Fine, I'll go." I got up and gathered my things to take a shower.
"Good! We'll pick out your outfit." Teyana jumped up and ran into my closet, dragging Aziyah with her, making her drop her chip onto my floor.
"I'm trying to eat my cheese puffs!" Aziyah shouted.
I walked in the bathroom, closing the door behind me. I turned the shower on and waited for it to heat up. While waiting, I brushed my teeth twice and washed my face clean from dirt and crust.
Seeing steam coming from the shower, I stripped out of my night clothes and stepped in the shower. Suddenly, all of my worries and stressing went away. Stepping under the shower head, I let the steaming water slide down my body from my hair to my toes.
Letting my thoughts overflow, tears came strolling down my face along with the water. I missed my mom and dad so much, the pain was unbearable. I was only 16 when they died. It's been 2 years since they've been 6 feet under. Sometimes, crying is the only thing I could do. Therapy wouldn't do anything for me so I try the best I can to stay sane.
"Jay you okay?" Tey shouted from the other side of the bathroom door.
"Y-yeah, I'm okay!" I grabbed my wash cloth and squeezed my body wash onto the rag.
30 minutes later, I turned the water off and wrapped myself into my black fuzzy towel. I opened the door and walked over to my dresser.
"Jay, talk to me." Aziyah spoke, almost whispered.
